So this is actually my first update since this thread started.
My initial weigh in was 174.8 (6'1)....so I dont have much to lose, I figure around 10/15lbs
...right when this thread started I went to Vegas for a couple days...and ate whatever I wanted.
When I got back home I went right back into the diet.
I was strictly counting calories, paying no attention to macros (except protein).
Well, I hit a plateau.
My weight wasnt moving from 175.
So I said fuk the scale.
That still didnt help.
So I started searching on Youtube.
Oddly enough...I actually took some advice from the Hodgetwins
Basically saying take a diet break for a day and then go low carbs.
I said fuk it, and took 5 days off.
I ate whatever I want for those 5 days
...while doing research on low carb diets.
Someone on another forum slid me a program he had good success with....
...its basically carb cycling.
I started last Monday.
On Monday I was 180lbs.
On this program, the first week is called a Carb Depleting week.
I ate 20g of carbs or under everyday.
No direct sources of carbs, only vegetables and meat.
Sunday (today) is the end of the carb depleting week.
My last meal will be a cheat meal with dessert to get some carbs back in.
The next cycling last 2 weeks:
It consist of:
3 "Carb Down" days (i.e. your only carbs is 1 cup of oatmeal)
3 "Baseline" days (i.e. two meals with carbs)
1 "Cheat" day (your last two meals are relaxed).
Woke up today at 169.8.
I know most of it is water weight...but I can for sure see a change in my body.
Cant remember the last time ive been in the 160's.
Dont even think ill need to do this whole diet.
