Coming back down to cover Dragoncon and a lot of the hotels in the downtown are getting some rough reviews. Hotels doing that bad now?
Any of y’all had the Peach Cobbler Cafe?
I keep hearing the radio promos and Grandma talkin spicy asf about the cooking but is the food actually good?
Im tempted to get a plate but I’ve never heard of a legit soul food place in Atlanta in Buckhead.
Are there any spots like Tasillis in the East?

Try "I Juice and smoothies". Its a little house looking joint on Wesley Chapel going towards Covington Hwy. I been fukkin with them for years. All vegan
Thumbs down. Overpriced as hell. Its basically a fancy cafeteria. Owned by the same bald head nikka that ran U-Bar into the ground. If you wanna pay 18 bucks for 2 pieces of fish, some mac n cheese and some canned greens go right ahead

I haven't see a lot of interracial couples either, at least not compared to what you'd see on the West Coast. But when I do, it's usually a White male with a Black female, and the Black female be good looking 95% of the time. When I see brothers with White females, it seems to go in and out of style, while being in style for a very short period. And the White girl looks below average most of the time, although the brother will have a good looking one here and there.I don’t think I’ve ever seen an interracial couple in McDonough. I’m sure it’s some there, but I’ve never came across it.
And we say McDonough is nice because it has a lot to do down there, the schools are decent & you didn’t have to worry about crime. The black population isn’t what Clayton, Fulton or DeKalb is but there is a fair amount of us living there.
The only lilly-white part of McDonough I can think of is the Ola High School zone. Rest of McDonough & Henry seems to have a nice mix of people. When I think about it I’m pretty sure McDonough High School is overwhelmingly African American.
guess it all depends on what part of McDonough you’re in. Of course you’ll see some trump signs and confederate flags but you gotta remember it’s not Clay Co, Fulton or DeKalb.
Anyone raising a family who doesn’t care about not being close to downtown Atlanta should look into McDonough
I tried to support because it is a black business and I got a homie that lives out that way but everything sucked, the customer service, the prices. The food was decent. Think slightly better "This is It". Then i found out that sucka ass nikka Al owned it i never went back
Now that you mentioned it, most of the good comments in this thread are about places outside of the Southside.Ask some Southside brehs like @The_Sheff @staticshock @Rekkapryde i avoid the Southside like the plague
EDIT: Just realized all 3 of y’all are some Tech brehs
Atlanta is the home of overpriced underperforming soul food.

Breh I used to swear by This is It, especially the one on Camp Creek but the food started progressively getting worse the last few years specifically the pulled chicken sandwich and sides. It went from juicy BBQ white chicken medallions with great Mac and cheese and baked beans to mediocre mixed white and dark chicken meat to just straight up entrails and slop I’m low key never going back
It’s almost as bad as all these crab leg spots and none of them know how to cook seafood SMH
