I rock with The Beautiful Restaurant on Cascade. That's my shyt for real.
Damn you went back into the mists of time on this one

Hattie Mae's is legit.
If you mean Hattie Marie's, then yes.it.is.

Still though...it makes zero sense as to why a city that markets itself as "the Black Mecca" has any sort of lack of quality soul food. Like why doesn't ATL have a style of breaded fried chicken to enjoy ANYWHERE. Gus's is Memphis and Hatties B's is Nashville. I'm so sick off seeing these damn buffalo wing and fish spots (ALL FOREIGN OWNED) in every fukking shopping center where Black predominate. It's the same damn menu everywhere. This shyt is a fukking joke. It makes absolutely no sense why smaller cities like Louisville, Nashville, Memphis, etc etc run circles around ATL in terms of soul food and food in general. There is something not to trust about this situation. Food is a cultural staple, and we see African American food in Atlanta (again the "Black Mecca") being utterly discarded.

I fukk with Hattie Marie’s too. I like the vibe and shyt they got going on in College Park. But that shyt a bytch to get to from where I live. They built a new one in Decatur so that’s the one I go to now.

probably some white folk or scary black folk who didn’t realize they’d be surrounded by nikkas down here
homelessness & the spike in crime probably played a reason into those negative reviews as well
Any of y’all had the Peach Cobbler Cafe?
I keep hearing the radio promos and Grandma talkin spicy asf about the cooking but is the food actually good?
Im tempted to get a plate but I’ve never heard of a legit soul food place in Atlanta in Buckhead.![]()
