3 dead in early morning shooting near Southwest Atlanta club
ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a triple shooting early Sunday morning that left three people dead.
According to homicide investigators, the shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. in the parking lot of a building that houses KISS Ultra Lounge, a smoke shop and another business.
The parking lot sits at the intersection of Whitehall Road and McDaniel Street just southwest of downtown Atlanta.
Investigators said when they arrived at the scene, the found three Black males between the ages of 35 and 45 dead in the parking lot. One of the victims was in a wheelchair.
Channel 2 Action News Reporter Elizabeth Rawlins spoke to some area residents and business owners who said they are totally fed up with all of the violence.
“It was a barrage of gunfire followed by another barrage of gunfire,” one resident said.
One of the victims in Sunday morning’s incident was a wheelchair bound man who nearby a nearby business owner said was well known in the area.
“He is one of the regulars that comes out, hangs out and sits in the front of the parking lot,” said the business owner.
I know I'm years late asking this, but how come most people from down here say McDonough is nice, when you bring this city up. And I'm talking about people actually from Atlanta. I only heard one brother say several years ago that he was allergic to Henry County period (He was probably a transplant). I knew he meant it was racist, but he never said that. Maybe it was because he was on the job, and he couldn't say it bluntly, although we were in Morrow (Clayton County). But Black females seem to do this the most. And they get along with these White men in Henry County better than Sandy Squirrel gets along with Sponge Bob, especially in the southern side of McDonough, where Henry Town Center is located. Just like White people, they act like they don't know the difference between a straight up thug from a brother who just don't tolerate a lot of racism or disrespect.
Maybe they're so use to the racism that they don't see it...but still .

All facts. My potna bought a house on 9 acres out there. I bought a house I Clayco and I'm looking in Mcdonough because I need a few acres too.I don’t think I’ve ever seen an interracial couple in McDonough. I’m sure it’s some there, but I’ve never came across it.
And we say McDonough is nice because it has a lot to do down there, the schools are decent & you didn’t have to worry about crime. The black population isn’t what Clayton, Fulton or DeKalb is but there is a fair amount of us living there.
The only lilly-white part of McDonough I can think of is the Ola High School zone. Rest of McDonough & Henry seems to have a nice mix of people. When I think about it I’m pretty sure McDonough High School is overwhelmingly African American.
guess it all depends on what part of McDonough you’re in. Of course you’ll see some trump signs and confederate flags but you gotta remember it’s not Clay Co, Fulton or DeKalb.
Anyone raising a family who doesn’t care about not being close to downtown Atlanta should look into McDonough
