Think I posted this before. I still don’t understand how Atlanta getting gentrified when all these rappers got money. Ion know much about politics.
Englewood Chicago ain’t getting gentrified crackas trying but they ain’t going for that. Folks here put money back into the community, and if somebody gotta get killed for them to realize they ain’t gentrifying shyt then somebody getting killed.
My boy, they opened a Whole Foods on 63rd & Halsted in Englewood, it doesn’t get more gentrification-esque than that. They didn’t open that bytch so the hood can have access to top notch food, it’s for them Cacs thats already starting to pull up. Hoods in Atlanta still in food deserts basically. Folks on Bankhead and Simpson still gotta drive way out to South Cobb or even West Midtown to get decent groceries. Atlanta is changing, but Chicago isn’t immune to that either my boy.
