Fans rejoice: 'The Flash' is headed to 'Supergirl' this spring!
It's actually happening!

Now it turns out that not even being on competing networks can stop the juggernaut that is Berlanti Productions’ shared DC Universe! This March, Gustin will make his debut on CBS as The Flash speeds over to National City for a very special episode of Supergirl. Fan dreams really do come true!
Details about the episode are currently under wraps, but executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg were over the moon about making this team-up a reality:

"We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making SUPERGIRL – THE FLASH and SUPERGIRL are teaming up!. We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone's enthusiasm and support.”

The crossover episode of Supergirl is slated for Monday, March 28 at 9/8c on CBS.

I like how they are throwing Ollie in the bushes for this. Let's get a Flash/Supergirl race

Let's be real there's no way that crossover was not gonna happen. That's way to much views to just throw away :pachaha:

If Supergirl was a hit, this wouldn't be happening. It's just a last ditch effort to save the show.

Also, The Flash's "reach" isn't as big as many of you think. Big fish, small pond over on the CW.

Course it would, people love crossovers too much.

Episode was aight.

Not really feeling the Iris/Wally storyline though. Just seems like generic "Wally starts out angry and aloof but warms up to his fam by the end of the episode" stuff. It's kind of cheesy.

Looking forward to Earth-2 tho.

I guess you would rather one of those Uncle Frank/Dorian storylines where Dorian is ackin out all season for several episodes, acting a complete fool for no reason and being disrespectful huh? :camby:

that storyline ruined Moesha for me :mjcry:

Actually, no, it wouldn't have because SG would have little to gain from a crossover since it's on a real network. The CW was always open to doing crossovers from the start but CBS was extremely against it. They are only doing it now because the ratings for Supergirl are trash.

I'm not talking out of my ass or making assumptions. This is a situation that has been very well documented*. But doesn't appear that many of you guys here actually pay attention to what's going on with these kind of shows outside of what you see on the screen.

*Supergirl debuted well then started losing viewers heavy. It had lost 55+% of its audience by the third episode. It was around this time that suddenly CBS became open to doing crossovers.
