Yea I know people hate origins and all that but they've been put in a bind with this one. Whatev changes occure due to Endgames gem fukkery an alternate dimension/timeline is the only way I see mutants just popping up anywhere like that. You can't tell me they'll just say mutants along with the Avengers and other "enhanced persons" to quote Vision have just been here the whole time. :dahell:Genetic mutation hasn't even been hinted at besides possibly Spiderman I guess and they largely ignored his origin because audiences pretty much know it already :mjlol:I'm def calling bullshyt if JUST cause they officially have the right all of a sudden the Xmen and all characters related just been around on the low:russ::russ::francis:

Well like I said they could pretend Spider-Man was there the whole time because he was fighting street level criminals.

Mutants don't exist at all in the MCU....on top of that, it's not just run of the mill mutants in the X-Men. There is at least two Omega Level mutants (Ice Man and Jean Grey) and one of the strongest psychics in existence, Professor X. Not to mention an entire program (Weapon X) that created Wolverine.

Once you factor in all that, plus other shyt I haven't even mentioned....and the origins of any X-Men villains....clearly none of this shyt was in the MCU prior to this point. I don't expect super tight writing from comic movies but it would be WOAT level writing to act like they were there the whole time.

Also I forgot to mention it but a few days ago Feige said something like, they're getting access to characters nobody is even thinking about. He said people are focused on the big names but they have damn near everything now.

So I took that to mean, they aren't using the same characters Fox has been using when they do the X-Men.

Eh it's not that serious.

They could just say mutants are rare and most of the public thinks they're a myth since they keep a low profile.

Now saying the X-men already exist or something would be a problem :whoa: but just saying mutants have been lurking in the shadows for years would be fine.

Ok cool.

So....what about the villains? Because none of them (especially Magneto and The Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants) would be ok with hiding from the public. It goes against everything they stand for.

I wonder if Hickman was low key charged with this new X-Men "era" or reboot so they can get a new idea/story for these new movies. They did used a ton of Infinity (Hickman's story) for Infinity War :manny:

If we’re doing it, I’d start with Alpha Flight and seed in the threat of mutants as a mystery. People think mutants are a result of why people turned to dust and being brought back.

From there, I’d start with Sentinel program in Black Panther.

Then have Xavier appear in Doctor Strange 2

And I’d make Legion apart of the MCU timeline

They better use someone with respect or no one will recognize it and see it as a huge botch. The reason why you can keep Magneto and Wolverine is because they have sold millions around their stories..on the animated shows..imagine it being Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Iceman, Colossus, Rogue, Gambit, and Wolverine. Good luck with that line up..especially since Cyclops is pretty damn boring without the Magneto wannabe makeover since Jean died in Planet X.

Magneto, Wolverine, and Storm are the biggest X characters of all time. They will matter no matter what. Magneto is too complex to be a villain unless he crosses the Avengers but I would suspect Kang is next on that side.

MCU turned Guardians Of The Galaxy into a billion dollar franchise. Captain Marvel is on pace to hit $1 billion. Antman did like $500-$600 million.

MCU's entire MO is taking B-Z tier characters and making them A-listers.

Doing it again for Alpha Flight (or any lesser known mutant/X-Men related characters) would be light work.

Then, obviously at some point in the future, they'd introduce the core X-Men and/or villains. I seriously doubt they're gonna jump out the window with X-Men directly after this Phase, though.

That took alot of marketing and 10 yrs..it also took Marvel butchering the X men to push Iron Man and all those Avenger projects..the X men are a whole different universe basically with very critical fans.

True. But given Feige's comments I just don't think Marvel is going to go full throttle with the core X-Men for a while.

I chose Alpha Flight to start the day whole international angle instead of clogging up more stories in America. Set up Excalibur out of UK etc.

Plus laying the groundwork for the new Wolverine.
