How daring would it be if the XMen films were smaller focus/smaller budget movies that could be shot and released annually, with a huge blockbuster film coming every 2 to 3 years? No need for a $200-300MM budget, when $75MM will get the job done and keep a continuous box office presence with marquee characters in the public eye. Storytelling can be an actual focus here. Spider-Man is really the character that would benefit from something like this with his street level approach.

I always thought, when reading the comics, Cyclops was like the Cap of the X-Men, super respected character, didn’t really take any mess from anyone, had a silent respect about him, which made him the clear leader of the team from inside the team. The movies fumbled the character to the point that I didn’t fukk him as a character anymore even in the comics. I thought the movies portrayed him pretty accurately. He always seemed like a corny lame with glasses in the comics to me. Nobody ever complained about his portayal back during the X-men the animated series days and he was just as corny then. Haven't seen any major changes.

Bruh you don’t know Cyclops’ full story then. He ended up being the perfect combo of Charles and Magneto and eventually got too extreme for Wolverine when he decided to send kids to fight super senteninels invading their island.

If they merge the multi-verse then they wouldn't need to make a new X-Men franchise because they already exist and most of all the Deadpool spin-off in the X-Franchise is a cash cow and the Marvel head Kevin Feige already said that Deadpool in particular will continue which indicates that his larger universe that he's spawned from will too continue to exist because in order for Deadpool to work storyline-wise the X-Men need to exist too.
I hope Marvel goes in a new direction with the X-Franchise and instead scraps the X-Men and focuses on New Mutants then follows that up with Deadpool's X-Force with Wolverine. They already teased his X-Force costume in Deadpool 2.
Also, in Deadpool's universe he can break the fourth wall and not have to worry about continuity errors since he's already referenced Josh Brolin playig both Thanos and Cable in the same year.
And since they've introduced the plot device of time travel they can bring back Wolverine.

*M1: Mutants start vanishing, most people don't notice or care. X-Men head out to figure out what's up. They find out the fukk boy humans are behind it & locate the concentration camp. They go in on some stealth shyt & fukkery from outside blows their cover. Sentinels show up & the battle begins. After the battle X-Men discover the mutants they didn't save themselves are all broken out & another section of the facility is fukked up. They go home not knowing what happened. Magneto clues scattered around.
- After credits: Escaped mutants listening to a Magneto monologue, " blah, blah, blah, we are a Brotherhood." Zooms in on Magneto face. Next scene a major player of the human fukk boys walks away unscathed & smiling, says something like "It's about time" eyes glow red. Any important human fukk boy can be the main bad guy.
*Movie 2: Magneto on a warpath, Brotherhood attacks raising fear levels. Xavier & Magneto competiytion for following. The Friends of Humanity form in the background. Investigation leads to Morlock tunnels. Massacre. Don't need an actual Brotherhood battle but it'd be nice. Put it at the beginning & get the Mags & X speech out the way.
-After cedits: Wounded Gambit shows up to the mansion, says "Sinister" before passing out. Another survivor tells Magneto humans were behind the slaughter before dying. Sinister in some lab somewhere hears the news & approves. Eyes & forehead glow.
*Movie 3: Magneto in full war mode & X-MEN plead with the Brotherhood to listen. All this gets tracked to a lab under Cyclops orphanage. X-MEN & Brotherhood join forces. Stupid flatscans interfere not knowing what's really going on. Sinister reveals it was all research & sample collection before seemingly defeated. Throws in his Mags concentration camp days. Cyclops past. Everybody want him dead.
-After cedits. Humans don't know about Sinister & are scared of Magneto retaliating more. Offer him Genosha as a peace offering. Friends of Humanity Reverend Stryker introduces his partner in the war on mutants, Bastion.
*The story shyt can be told in news reports in media, like friends of Humanity, no need for convo. Sinister is teased. Cyclops is the focal point & balance of the story between X & Mags for development.
