Fam if you got a problem with them coming from an alternate reality....which honestly ain't that outside the box given the convoluted history of the team....how are you OK with completely changing their origin?

Comic fans would throw a fit if they did this. It would fit for the Weapon X project, or Team X....not the entire X-Men team though.

I don't want anything we've already seen. Even if it's guaranteed (and, it's not) to be better than what Fox did. And I seriously doubt Marvel waited this long to obtain the rights....just to retread ground with Magneto, the Sentinels, etc.

Start with some off the wall shyt, like the Brood. Or Cameron Hodge. Hell, the MCU already has the Reality Stone and has talked about alternate dimensions....the X-Men could come from a reality where mutants are already mostly dead (kinda like "Logan") which would allow them to introduce any villain. People act like they gotta go the exact same route as the Fox movies.

This. I much rather see the brood or morlocks or mister sinister in a x-men film than retreading magneto/trask at this point.

But it really all depends on how the MCU plans on bringing in mutants to begin with.

Probably because they're fukking radioactive after the absolute piles of shyt that have come out under that umbrella. :AngledScust:

At least the X-Men have had SOME notable positive releases to build on viewer goodwill. The F4 have none, hell, they are well into the negative with the shyt they've released. Absolutely putrid.

Marvel has to actually put out something palatable or risk shelving them for a sizeable amount of time. There's more at stake with a F4 release, X-Men are easy by comparison.

A business will usually go with guaranteed money vs a risky proposition to set the tone after a front page acquisition, once you've shown success you can follow up with experimentation. I want to see the property done right but working in the field, I understand the mindset.

Y’all worried about villains when we don’t even know who’s writing and/or directing this joint yet.

I couldnt name one director or writer (cept whedon) whos name i knew before the marvel movies really. Characters are most inportant to start with.

I would like to see a lil of everyone. A full world.

But we better get a true apoc and sinister before we get ANYONE not named magneto/brotherhood or sentinels
