A movie I've never heard of.....*starts search*

Plan to watch Topkapi tonight, and picking up the UK release "Thieve's Highway" from Dassin in about a month. Pretty damn excited.

It's a comedy that I thought was well done, not the best heist in it, but a great heist film nonetheless - might be on hulu criterion

Thieves' Highway is pretty good too

:blessed:Yes Tower Heist is so underrated!

This is definitely not my genre, but here's my anemic list.

1. Die Hard
2. Reservoir Dogs
3. The Mission Impossible Series (I,II, III, & IV)
4. Inside Man
5. Tower Heist
6. Inception
7. Jackie Brown
8. Goldfinger
9. True Romance
10. Set It Off

HM: Entrapment, Dead Presidents, Sexy Beast, & Wild Things

I did not really enjoy Heat or any of the Oceans Eleven movies, but I think it was because I was very young when I saw them. I'll have to go back and re-watch them and see if they are more enjoyable now.

I don't know if this is considered a heist flick but Layer Cake was nuts. And I highly recommend this to you all. The best heist movie you never saw:

The Hoodlum (1951)

Lawrence Tierney ("Reservoir Dogs") plays an unreformed, hardened criminal who has just been released from prison. While working at his brother's gas station, he becomes very interested in the armored car that makes regular stops at the bank across the street.

Do train heists count? Or is it just banks... Cause I got Under Siege on my 10 in terms of entertainment. :russ:

Of course.

IMO though, a pure heist film has to be about the "heister" or crew, more than the police or investigators trying to catch/stop them.
