100! I've never understood why people cosign F'ERY for juvenile 'cool!' I was nearly jacked once when Nairobi was called Nairoberry for violent crime including bank robberies and carjacking. It was at the worst of our national history around 1992-1999 when poverty peaked and the sociocultural fabric unravelled along with our economy. This is a typical episode for that era:
On Wednesday August 16, 1995,[5] 56-year-old Kuniaki Asano (浅野 邦章 Asano Kuniaki), the school's principal, died in an apparent robbery attempt,[6] just as he was located at the school's entrance.[7] Two gunmen shot him and stole his car.[5] The shooting occurred during a crime wave in Kenya,[8] which targeted foreigners and occurred in the early 1990s

So many locals, tourists, diplomats, journos, foreign and domestic faced violent crime we were known as Nairobbery!
I've been shot at by carjackers in late 98 here in Kikuyuland who wounded a cuz sitting right behind me in the shoulder. Luckily for 2 things:
-the bullet velocity was reduced by the window and the door lock and didn't pierce bone
-I was driving not dad and the moment I saw the 3 foot boulder in the middle of the road I knew what time it was and immediately took evasive action.
All those 23-26 yr old mofos made the news when they were gunned down following year when Karma caught up with them in Nairobi.
If the negroes who killed that retired firefighter were fatherless/unloved/uneducated/looking for attention I can't find an eff to give!
