They just want to put more blacks in prison for a longer time per usual in the United States, and people on here are for some reason in favor of it.
I think drug offense should be lessened but these type of violent crimes must be punished severely. There is nothing acceptable about running up on someone threatening their life over a car. And no it’s not just “poverty” that made them do it.
95% of poor black folks don’t commit crimes.

WTF is the point with the statement in bold? No one is out here saying all poor black people are committing crimes. But I think we'd find a pretty solid correlation between poverty and crime in Chicago.
Yes but you can do both, if we agree that very large majority of poor black people are not committing crimes then we can agree to punish the small percentage that commit “violent” crimes. At the same time working to eliminate the economic reasons for poverty.
