My daughter, who graduated with higher than a 4.0, took all kinds of AP classes, etc. couldn’t get into any of those schools breh. She got nice scholarship offers from a few out of state schools, but here in California…

:francis:

I’m leaving here in 3 years. The cost of living here is crazy and I’m so used to it, I don’t ever realize it until people from out of state visit me. I have a relative who’s RICH and complains every time they’re out here. They love the city, but said even they wouldn’t live here.
Better look at the cost of living in TX. Your friends not telling you about the property tax trade off and for the type of area you want to live in is going to cost you $$$ now in days. Yeah the initial price price for houses are lower but just you wait :mjcry:

You're in San Diego, right?
I was in ATL for a comic convention I was selling my books at. My girl's home girl and her husband live out there. They're both from Chicago but her husband lived here in NYC for a while. He said he we wishes he could go back to NYC cause the roads are too congested. shyt closes too early and the damn plumbing isn't as good. Who would want to live in place like that?
Right, there's trade offs to everything, bro. If I didn't have my kids here (NC) I'd be in California again tomorrow, I was headed back, back in '16 when I found out my first child was on the way...

And I like it here for real, but there's trade offs to everything...

Personally, Georgia isn't my style at all. Nothing about it...

Yeah sometimes i think about leaving :manny: but to where??
One way to narrow it down is, is there any place you've visited, that you can see yourself living permanently?

I've been away too long, I have a different perspective from Californians who just left or have never left bit want to leave. I believe you can make your home wherever, but I always caution mf's that assuming the grass is greener elsewhere because cost of living is cheaper is a roulette game...

Trade offs everywhere, what's bad here mat be worse in your next destination, ain't no place checking every box on the list. You just find the place that checks the most boxes for you!

I’m moving to Arizona. Texas is not for me.

You're in San Diego, right?

Yep. San Diego.

Number 7 top most expensive city.

This is yet another reason why we need a travel sub-forum. Black Americans have always had to migrate across America and we need the info about these cities from other black people.

I want to relocate to the Miami area but I need some info. If we had a travel sub forum we could have a relocation thread for all of the major cities for black people.

That black folks in Inglewood voted for those new stadiums
They gentrified themselves out of Inglewood
Damn shame too. Can't even buy a house in Inglewood for no less than 700k and Inglewood used to be a place with black people to live and have a decent house and decent neighborhood.

for the average families in southern california, unless you have section 8 or some sort of assistance from the government, it's getting impossible to live there without struggling. growing up in Daygo, our rent use to be around $400, now the same spot is charging $2700 and climbing :smh:

And the crazy thing is people have legit been on the waiting list for housing for 10 years to 15 years. I’ve even seen it almost up to 20 years. This shyt is really crazy.
