Didn't realize Greater LA still had 1million black ppl. Makes sense, considering how many ppl migrated to the IE. Those are all still very STRONG numbers. Despite the percentages that black ppl make up.

They are good numbers. 311,000 black people in the city is still like the 9th largest black community in the US. Over a million black people in the region is also still a Top 10 black community...

Volume matters. Percentage matters more, the smaller a city is. Like, if I'm a city the size of Albany NY, which has 100,000, if that city is only 8% black, that means there are just 8000 black people in the entire city...

The smaller you are, the more our community could be muted. But a city the size of Los Angeles at 8% black is still over 300,000 black people, for context there are more black people in Los Angeles, than people total in St Louis...

Anyone who says they don't see black people or black culture in LA immediately out themselves as simply not being in the black areas when they went to LA...

Im worried about the Black areas that have just burnt down..rebuilding will be tough, and many will have to sell off their properties to unscrupulous land dealers..
They may also have not cosidered themselves at risk of fire so some may have forgone insurance, not that it matters since the insurers screwed over everyone.

Most black ppl live in the LA Basin south of I-10. Away from where all the fires happened.

Yeah where the fires are, of course there are some black people out there, particularly in the Pasadena/Altadena area and it does suck for those families. But even those areas aren't stupid black, the number of black people in the fire areas is less than 35,000----->which is less than 5% of the total black population in Los Angeles County...
