If it's flat, how would you get from say LA to Japan? You would have to fly east to get there, yet a plane flight from LA to Japan is shorter than one from anywhere on the eastern coast of the US to Japan.

Where is NASA saying the earth is not spherical?

Answer these simple question, how do you explain the weather climate, the day and night. If I travel along the equator, I will sooner or later get back to the same spot I started from right? If the world is flat, I will fall off or according to some people in this thread, hit a wall of ice?

I don't think Jr Gong wanted you to take that specific example as a fact, but just to be cautious and ask questions. Same thing they teach you in school.

Yes, but the deviation of the circumferences at the equator, due to earth's rotation, and the denser, more compact, earth in the North Pole is so relatively small that you aren't going to see an exaggerated pear shape.
