I had no emotional tie to Black Panther as of yet, they didn't get a chance to build the character to that extent. Plus its not their fault Chadwick didn't tell them he was sick. If you get a good or even better replacement, people will be okay with it.

As far as this thread its a little disengenious seeing as though Bale decided to leave with Nolan while he was on top:wow:
Bale could have gone as long as he wanted to as Batman, just like Robert Downy Jr.
Lets not compare Robert Downey to Bale,1 classic Iron Man in 10 years nikka ?I can divide:heh:

The problem is with RDJ as Ironman is the same problem when Christopher Reeves was Superman: whenever the actor retires or dies, finding a suitable replacement is nigh impossible. So whenever RDJ calls it quits, an Ironman replacement actor would never be able to capture lightning in a bottle again.

Hmmmm I think it’s simple...Batman/Spider-Man are literally the most popular comic characters ever. Both characters are cash cows. Because of that you will always have movie studios cash in on the characters. I mean look at how many Batman/Spider-Man cartoons there are.

An iconic superhero always have the best villains. Hell, if any hero doesnt have a legendary Rogues Gallery, they have a hard time blowing up and crossing over to be household names. Or at least take decades slower.

Batman has The Joker, Ra's al Ghul, 2 Face, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, The Toddler, Clayface, Bane, and tons more

Spider man has the Sinister Six, The Kingpin, and loads more

The Flash has tons

Even Superman has Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Mongul, Doomsday, General Zod, Metallo, and tons more.

Ironman took decades to blow up because he never had an iconic villain attached to him. An iconic villain is where other heroes not in their gallery fear and loathe them. Thats why you never had an Ironman solo cartoon after the mid 90s, because of the severe lack of memorable villains.

The irony is that RDJ is/was 616 Tony Stark.

No he isn’t.

He was the perfect Stark. It helped that he himself had real-life substance abuse issues much like Stark so he could relate to the character. If Marvel wasn't p*ssy, they'd have explored his demons in IM2 or 3.
IM2 was supposed to adapt the Demon in a Bottle storyline but RDJ himself didn't want to do it because he didn't want to get back in that headspace.

It's true Robert Downey Jr is Tony Stark and Tony Stark is Robert Downey Jr.

See how he shows up unexpectedly at comic con and it turns into a stark expo

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
They won't recast TONY but they will recast IRONMAN.. It'll be some past the mantle shyt like they doing with Cap. Or like they'll do with BP.

To just hop right in with "hey here's tony but his face is new" would be crazy.. And for that to happen they'd have to reboot the entire MCU.
