Well, the Kpop fanbase does, but that's because the groups they follow desperately want the Western approval, so they do crazy shyt like loop the songs and music videos for 24 hours in order to break records.

...And then they wonder why those groups aren't as big as people make them out to be, because they're "breaking records", but the number of people listening to them as a whole is a lot smaller. So it goes to show that there's many ways to game the system, but a true #1 has staying power. I can't really say if this song will do that, because most of the conversation is about the video, not even really with the song itself, but only time will tell.

Like I told dude in the original thread about this song, imagine thinking Lil Nas X gonna be able to do a Verzuz 10, 20 years from now. No matter how many "hits" and #1s he gets because of the new streaming rules, OTR will remain the only song of his that people actually still play years from now.
