If I wasn’t lazy I’d peep what the audio stream numbers are because I have a feeling this is driven almost entirely by the video. He’s a troll artist who understands attention=views=streams=money. In a week or two it’ll fall off the charts completely but it won’t matter. He made his money, there is no album.

I was hoping that it underperformed to humble him about using shock tactics to ensure a hit, but I can’t lie.. this is shaping up to be a smash. The record racked up close to 100 million streams on spotify and is on the top of most streaming services.. it’s looking to spend another week at #1 so far without video streams. 100 point lead between this and peaches (despite Justin having 72m spotify listeners and peaches dominating radio).Lil Demon’s song is connecting and will stabilize in the top 5 for weeks to come. Other than the maximum exposure the controversy caused, the GP is clearly on board with the single. This won’t fall off like Taylor’s recent #1 did. It fits the streaming algorithm perfectly.
