I was mainly referring to the "savior" part.

While he didnt say he died for people's sins I guess it depends on one's perception. If one sees that Jesus came into the world (knowing he would die) on the account of getting people to stop sinning then I can see how one says he died for people's sins. If people consider him to be a human sacrifice to appease God, then I would disagree.
