I think the closest thing to a consensus is that it was a fantastic film. Just as many people saying it's the best of the trilogy as those saying TDK was better. Couple persistent trolls that keep shouting how they didn't like it, all of substandard intelligence.

Just rewatched The Dark Knight last nite. Shyt is a masterpiece. TDKR is nowhere near as memorable. Its the Return of the Jedi of the series.

An acceptable conclusion but anyone saying its TDK status or better is a stan

How is someone a stan if they think one Nolan movie in the same series is better than another?

How are you gonna make a judgement over which film is more memorable when one's been out 4 years and you've watched several times, while the other came out 2 days ago?

shyt didnt feel like a batman movie. Thank god for the reboot cause this trilogy hit its peak on the second film. And of all the villians to choose from u pick bane as the lead

No, its not obvious. You're entitled to your opinion on the movie but an assessment such as which was more memorable at this point is invalid and says more about your mindset than the film.

I think its a damn good movie. Just because it isnt as good as the 2nd doesnt mean its bad in any way. A movie not being the best ever does not make it disappointing.

Count me in the group that feels like they marginalized Bane though. Through the movie i was thinking "Man they really did Bane up right, he is giving Batman a tough challenge both mentally and physically". Then at the end they ruined everything they built up by making him nothing more than a lackey bodyguard. So now instead of one great villain they had a mediocre one in Talia and her hound dog follower.
