I think Anne surprised a lot of people as Catwoman. Many thought she was horrible for the role, but she was great. Why people doubted Nolan's choice for Catwoman, after doubting his choice of Heath as Joker, I don't know.

What surprised me the most was the how much it felt like a mixture of Batman and Inception. I mean the real main villian was the same main villian in Inception. I mean when I saw her, I knew something was up. I didn't know she was going to stab him but I knew she was a bad guy. Not a comic book fan so I had no idea who she was. The action felt had that Inception feel as well. As well as the race against time. A bomb vs. waking up.
To me, Catwoman and Bane felt like a combo of Joker. Catwoman with the crazy sense of humor. And Bane with the terrorist feel. Best thing about this film is that I didn't feel the 2:45 minutes. I felt it with the Avengers and Spiderman. Bottom line he dropped another classic. With the gadgets, action, suspense this was the best of the 3 films. But Ledger carrying the last one can't be topped.

Just came from seeing it a couple hours ago. This might be reactionary, but this was better than TDK. I will give my opinion later, after I'm done devouring these baby back ribs.

I cant wait to see that scene again. The way Bane threw him off the catwalk and jumped on the hanging rope like a fukkin savage to go after bats....SHEESH!!!!
wrong. joker was a force of nature. but underneath all the "lunacy", and the apparent random acts of violence, he was shrewd, cunning, insanely intelligent and VERY purposeful. the people who think he acts without rhyme or reason are the people who cant, or dont care to, admit that his "reason" is just darker and more twisted than any normal man could imagine. they use insanity to justify it.
he wasnt insane. not in the straight-jacket/committed sort of way. he just didnt give a fukk (compared to the average person, where morality, conscience, cowardice... keep those dark thoughts and ambitions in check).
and if he is insane. he's no more insane than batman. batman just has a line he's not willing to cross. joker said fukk lines. i'm willing to do WHATEVER to see my goals carried out.
u dont rig two ferries to explode, play role reversal with a building full of hostages and gunmen, stage ur own death to take out a rival, and "mix up" the locations of harvey and rachel if ur a madman acting without rhyme and reason.

he was unpredictable, sure. but the joker had plenty of reason.
