Thats whats so great about this era/generation of actors. Movies stars no longer have the ego or take its as damage in their pride to do tv. A check is a check.

All the money all the 80s and 90s stars left on the table for not doing tv (if the opportunity was there that is)

back then we had tv stars and movie stars.... both separate and both stayed in their own lane... I don't thing it was a ego thing .. its just how people trained .. .. now everybody trying to get a check ... everything blurred..

Yea... halfway true.....

Still I've seen interviews with cats like Kevin Bacon, Christian Slater, and Keifer Southerland speaking on it and how it used to be a bad look for a Movie star to do TV. How it was perceived at one point as degrading or your career cooling off and on the versus if you went from TV to movie you was blowing up to be big time.

I think Keifer doing 24 and being VERY successful with that and other cats doing some really good shows helped changed that percetion

putting it like that.. then yes... going from movie franchises to a TV show meant you were on the decline.. while going from a TV to a movie meant a promotion.. I'm not gpnna lie .. I was surprised seeing all these movie actors on TV too.. but eventually I just starting looking at them as actors and the medium was secondary..

sort of like coaches... college / minor league / major...

its like job security... your lane is where you stayed

It was more a situation where the industry didn't allow it. If you were a movie star back in the day then you had to stay strictly a movie star because if you started taking TV gigs you wouldn't be offered movie roles anymore.

‘Batwoman’: Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson & Nicole Kang To Co-Star In the CW Pilot

EXCLUSIVE: Teen Wolf alumna Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson (Luke Cage)and Nicole Kang (You) have been cast in lead roles opposite Ruby Rose inBatwoman, the CW’s DC drama pilot from Greg Berlanti’s Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

Written by Caroline Dries based on the DC characters and directed by David Nutter,Batwoman marks the first gay lead character — male or female — of a live-action superhero series. It centers on Kate Kane (Rose) who soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.

Tandy will play Sophie Moore. After graduating from military academy, Sophie rose through the ranks to become a high-level private security agent and one of Gotham’s staunchest protectors. Despite her bite and regimented outlook, Sophie has a soft side, illuminated by Kate Kane’s return.

Johnson will portray Luke Fox. A Dark Knight loyalist and son of Wayne’s R&D director Lucius Fox, Luke works to keep Wayne Tower secure in his boss’s absence. While Luke considers himself the guardian of all things Batman — specifically his symbol — he also recognizes the city’s need for a new hero.

Kang is Mary Hamilton. Excitable, talkative, and an influencer-in-the-making, Mary is Kate Kane’s step-sister and polar opposite. But what Mary lacks in a filter, she makes up for with her compassion for Gotham’s underserved communities, proving she has more in common with Kate than she thinks.

Dries and Nutter executive produce alongside Berlanti Prods.’ Berlanti and Sarah Schechter as well as former DC Entertainment president Geoff Johns via his new Mad Ghost Productions banner.

Tandy is known for her roles as Braeden on Teen Wolf, Chantal on UnReal and Allison on Survivor’s Remorse. She most recently recurred on the CW’s Charmed.Tandy is repped by Shannon McLaren, JKA Talent & Literary Agency and Stride-Management

Johnson recurred on Netflix’s Luke Cage and Hulu’s There’s Jonny and will be seen in the features The Sun Is Also A Star and Safe Spaces. He’s repped by Underground, Buchwald, and attorney Robert Koch.

Kang most recently recurred on Lifetime’s You, from Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, which also is produced by Berlanti Prods. and WBTV. She’ll also be seen in upcoming episodes of Orange is the New Black and The Code. She’s repped by Buchwald and Authentic.
