Saw it with my wife yesterday, it was a damn good movie that exceeded my expectations cause I’m always skeptical of remakes and musicals in general. Stayed true to the original plus I liked the additions.

90 million budget was kinda eye opening. That's really high for this type of movie, let alone a black one.

Watched last night. Beautiful movie. It being a musical has its faults in terms of storytelling but on the other hand, made it for it with a lot of these songs, choreography and photography.

Danielle Brooks fully deserved that nomination though I'm kinda surprised fantasia wasn't - though this year was admittedly crazy so a win is a win but fantasia blew my fukking mind in this. Had no idea this was the shyt she was up to or capable of it.
