Get in good with your professors brehs and brehettes, especially if they're black. One of my professors provided me with contact info of a hiring manager for a large company 
ETA: I'm lucky enough to have a good Professor : Student ratio so it's easier for me, but take advantage of office hours. Ask them questions, shoot the shyt with them, make your face a familiar one.

Brehs I have the opportunity to study abroad in my 3rd year and I was looking to come to the US for the year. Theres a list of partner universities I can apply for and from the list Im thinking of choosing either California State Long Beach or Kansas State University. Does anyone know which one would be the better choice?

Waiting out on purchasing ANY of my law books. Gonna see if I can go the entire semester without buying a single one but I know by at least week 4/5 i'll have to buy one. Thankfully the people I sit beside have one so I can just share off of them

If Spanish is one of your majors, DEFINITELY Cali. There are mad Hispanics in Kansas too though and Cali is expensive. What kind of budget do you have?

Well because it would be in my 3rd year I wouldnt need to pay any university fees apparently, so ill just need to pay my own way for accommodation and food etc so I guess about $1k a month? Hard to say at the moment how much ill be spending but I guess around that figure or slightly more is my ideal.budget.

They will definitely write recommendation letters, give you money.. look out for you if you do develop a professional relationship during their office hours

Breh, $1k/month is $35 or so per day. That may barely cover a studio in SoCal. Definitely not food unless you cook all your meals (which is a good practice). I would say $2-3k.
