Does anyone ever get hype when they pull a really good grade on a paper they struggled on or didn't think they would do well in? Or pull a really good grade in a class that was hard and made you doubt yourself?

I checked my final grades on break in the lunch room and screamed YES MOTHERfukkER YES and people were looking at me like I was crazy. :dead: Heat of the moment.

Got a B in a class I thought I might fail :dead:

I've dropped out of college and have been severely depressed for the past 4-5 years. Tried to kill myself several times. Anyway, next year I intend on going back to school.

My tentative plan:
1) Acquire an associates degree in business management at some community college.
2) Then get a bachelor's degree in finance (or dual major with business management) at some university with a study abroad program (so that I can study in Brazil).
3) Possibly get my masters in finance at another university, also with a study abroad program (to study in possibly France or Switzerland).

My ultimate goal is to own a bank and assets management firm.

Nah, if you're comfortable with what you learned in the previous courses it shouldn't be too bad. I'm just now catching my stride in the class and it's not as bad as it felt at first. The reason I was having some difficulty before is likely because its a summer course, so it's moving twice as fast
Any advice or tips for Calc 3 or Calculus period bro? :lupe: I Aced the first Calc but it took me 2 tries to scrap by Calc 2. I'm putting off
Calc 3 right now but it's my last math class so I want to get it done

1. Study and try your best to keep up with the class. Try to read whatever material will be covered in class ahead of time.

2. Practice the hard problems, and continue to practice those problems until you are completely comfortable with the concept that the problems cover.

3. If your school has tutors and/or people that can help you with problems you're not understanding, use that to your advantage.
That's really all I can tell you. Unfortunately, there's no easy path when it comes to Calculus :ld:

In other news, I'm once again teetering the line of passing or failing :beli:

Ended up getting a 0 on a recent assignment. I didn't have time to finish it, so I got the assignment from a friend and it was completely wrong. I should have known better too :snoop:

What have you done since that post?

Calculus 2 is definitely harder because you are mostly dealing with trigonometric functions. Calculus 3 was a cake walk for me (I was bad at math growing up) so I am sure if you aced Calculus 1, you will do the same with Calculus 3. The only issue I had when taking Calculus 3 was dealing with spherical and cylindrical coords...., but that was for reasons other than the inherent topic. Otherwise, Calculus 3 should be easier than Calculus 1 because you are just extending the number of integrals essentially. BUT you still should study and do the problems!

Anybody know if I can take the ACT again after one semester of University? I got a 27 in 2013 before I became a freshman . I was off to a 3.75 at Midterms and fell to a 2.0 at semester end :mjcry:

I didn't even return for Spring semester . Now I wanna get back in school and Im wondering if a 30+ ACT can help out that dismal GPA

When I was one of the Deans of admission at a college I have no recollection of someone getting into college and then re-taking the ACT/SAT after leaving, for purposes of transferring or otherwise. In my experience you only retake standardized tests if you haven't yet attended a college or grad program, or if your scores expire (an absurd concept meant to make these testing agencies more money) so an institution will no longer accept them as legitimate.

There are ways to deal with dismal a GPA and re-enter college. If you're interested, PM me.
