How is grad school different from undergrad, as it relates to coursework?
I'm taking calc 3 in the fall.
Should I be worried
For me personally, going from a BBA to a Master's in Strategic Leadership, the coursework is more analysis oriented with more papers to write. In undergrad, I just had to pass a bunch of tests for the most part. In grad school, I'm writing 4 to 5 page papers every 3 weeks with a 8-10 page paper as the final paper. My professors want no opinions in the papers. They will barely tolerate one sentence if it's opinion based. They want analysis based on facts and case studies. How is grad school different from undergrad, as it relates to coursework?

Basically you have to be more attentive, read & research more.
Oh no.... the pages for the non final papers are only 4 to 5 pages. Sometimes 6. And a minimum of 4 to 5 sources.Good analysis. (Heh). This almost sounds like undergrad for me. My university stressed writing and analysis along with tests.
What is the average length of the non-final papers?
Are you writing 4-5 twenty+ page papers every 3 weeks?
Apparently the final "project" to graduate is writing a crazy extensive paper that's like 30 to 35 pages long. It's suppose to represent everything you've learned in the curriculum. Then there's a final extensive portfolio that is suppose to demonstrate your personal development from the start til now.
Brehs, I have a family member doing biotechnology starting their 3rd year with a 3.0 GPA is there hope for them to get into med school?
That GPA is rather low, so what's his/her MCAT score like? Research? Did she/he have a job? Was she/he depressed for a semester?
If the GPA was affected by freshman year anxiety, then she/he could write that in their letter. Also if the past 3/4 semesters are all good grades, then she/he has a shot. Just be able to explain why the GPA is 3.0.
Personally, I'd say study for the MCAT and take bunch of practice tests under the conditions of the actual test. Also, when applying, your relative will have to be realistic. Top 20 schools may be out of the question, try some lower ranked schools that she/he will definitely have a shot of getting into.

(search google, and invest in some books that have practice tests. Sites like studentdoctor are also helpful.)

I wanted to go to medschool a while back, but it's not really for me (no passion for medicine in that regard).
