I've been watching people i know go thru college, and other people who haven't gone thru it and just went out and got experience and from where im sitting it seems like internships are the way to go (if you're not taking some heavy shyt like engineering or in the medical field)... its a shytload of people out here with a degree that aint got no references, aint applied anything they learned in college yet, just overall haven't proven that they can do the work before they get an interview.

These bosses out here could give a fukk about a sheet of paper

He was probably just book smart. I know dudes who can ace exams, but have zero common sense. Those guys usually get Ph.D.s and teach or do research, because they hate working around all "these" idiots.

Got Calc 3, Physics w/Cal 2, Diff Equations, and C++ left along with some other fluff non-science courses. I can't take it anymore, I want to get into the Civil Engineering program and be done with all these general courses.

Is it me or do nursing students just love engineering students?

Good luck with that all man.

Good luck with that all man.

It really feels like the first 2 years of college is a buffer before you go into your major. Half the classes felt like busy work and to weed out people. Also, I'm not going into a math intensive major, so sitting through all these math classes felt routine, I felt no thrill or excitement. I understand the importance of learning theory, but I'm ready to start learning something more practical.

Maybe they looked up what an engineer is and how much on average they make.

I suppose. One of my man's had to drop out and is installing cable tvs now, cause he dropped two kids in a nursing student real quick.

why make us go to university then?

the media and government hyped up our parents into thinkin that everyone had to have a degree, so know it kinda feels forced upon us

shyt about money, college make so much money it makes sense to make people feel like they have to go.

unless my career field required that i have a degree like engineering and shyt i dont wouldn't feel the need to go to a big university, too much debt
