Can't believe I forgot about Identity
...there's about three different twists that makes the ending fukkkery gold
Man, I'm gonna struggle to finalize this list.
I'm leaning towards films that are legit MYSTERIES, as far as where the story is head....like whodunits.....
...but what about mysteries where the audience knows who the villain is, and the plot is the story of how the rest of the characters find out?
1. The Third Man
2. Double Indemnity
3. Harakiri
4. Chinatown
5. Diabolique
6. Strangers On A Train
7. The Sixth Sense
8. Zodiac
9. Gone Baby Gone
10. Blood Simple
Honorable Mentions
1. Three Colors: Red
2. Picnic At Hanging Rock
- Kieslowski's trilogy is a masterpiece, but they're all more atmospherically mysterious than outright mystery films. Thus, I took it off my list.
3. Rififi
- A deeply mysterious film, Peter Weir masterfully creates a complete atmosphere if uncertainty. You may or may not like the ending though.
4. Vertigo
- A place holder for all great heist films, thought I consider it the greatest, just in case we don't get around to make that Top 10.
5. Out Of The Past
- Might as well just put HITCHCOCK here. I limited myself to one Hitch film in my Top 10, just because it might be 50% of the list otherwise. Vertigo, Shadow Of A Doubt, The Lady Vanishes, Rear Window...I consider them all masterpieces.
- A placeholder for about a dozen other film noir films I love that might go on my Top 10 at any given time...including Laura, The Maltese Falcon, The Stranger, Murder My Sweet, etc.

Good list breh, I still have to peep Harakiri, rififi, 3 colors rouge and picnic. The first 3 are on deck though.
