The Comfort Zone
Diddy's son was dating that India Westbrooks girl at one point, he just generally goes with the racially-ambiguous "InstaThot" types
Jaden Smith is dating one of those Brooklyn "fashion" Black girls that Ian Connor was fukking a few weeks ago.
Ice Cube is dating a Latina, no issue there.
And I have no clue about Michael Jordan's son, I highly doubt he's dating White girls, probably just running through them like your average wealthy young man his age.

:mjpls:

my sons grew up around and are friends with mostly white people. my oldest son's first girlfriend was a white girl with red hair. he is with a black and asian chick now :obama:. my youngest son's girl looks like miley cyrus :snoop:. he's just starting with dating tho. he'll step his game up eventually. i'm well aware that you date what is in your circle. and unfortunately, they don't have many black people to interact with. i don't know if it's going to affect them in the future when it comes to interacting with black people. that's something i worry about all the time. :lupe:

Here in NYC there upper middle class black neighborhoods like Cambria Heights,Laurelton and Rosedale which are in Queens. I know plenty of black folk in Cambria Heights and they date other black folks. There is so many black upper middle class neighborhoods across this nation that date other people.

yep. but most of the time, those other black kids grew up around white folks too, so they get with each other and be like :lupe::yeshrug:

i sometimes think i made a good decision by providing an opportunity for my kids to go to a diverse school. but i also shot them in the foot because unfortunately, a "diverse" school has little to no black people. and the black people that are there don't hang with each other. it's odd....:dahell:

I hear you man. That is some of the issues we as black parents deal with. I always made it a point that I would not enroll my daughter in a school whose population was less than 30% black. Luckily I live in the south and never had that issue with schools for her. I also enrolled here in a black private school for a number of years when she was younger so that helped with her development....IMO.

I believe this. When I grew up my parents were middle class but stayed on a nice block in a majority black neighborhood and because of it I still gravitate towards black women and latinas with color.

On the other hand, I have a homie that grew up in a town that is only 7% black and he's never even dated a light skinned black chick.

Says all Black women care about is who got dough
And all we do is call them either bytch or a Black hoe
I say first brotha you ain't gotta be that cold
Since you ignorant, I'ma show you how the facts go
The biggest example in scandal of history
Were Monica Lewinksy or Donald Trump's pimping spree
Most woman who love Givenchi of Gucci

I have this theory that when a black couple make it in life and move to a upper class area, they have black children and they generally end up with non blacks simply because that's what they grew up around

This thread was inspired by going through the Instagram's of Floyd Mayweather's family members (no  here) and noticing the demographics of their circles.

Floyd Mayweather doesnt fuk with non Blacks at all, on any level. Dude is Black Excellence, self made, etc. He only messes with Black girls yet will his kids follow in his foot steps?

So from your experiences, who are black kids from upper class backgrounds ending up with?

Justin Combs(Diddy's son) and his girl

Lived in both situations, so I had the privilege to see both sides of the coin and I can definitely confirm from the brothers/sisters who grew up in affluent areas without being around black folks. They get this false sense of thinking they're "above" other black folks and they tend to take their "nikka moments" VERY hard as they truly believe that kumbaya bullshyt. Usually comes with a very boule holier than thou uppity attitude.

The white people know they have money and in order to keep resources away from actually building in black communities they do a very good job trying to brainwash the "token" black people into thinking they're "one of them".

Crazy social dynamics to pay attention to.

While obviously growing up and being around all whites can make you more likely to date out. A lot of blacks can grow up around blacks in the hood and then once they get around others can totally start dating out. This can be due to the struggle of blacks they saw growing up so they see dating out as sort of making it and blacks associated with negative views due to the way they grew up.

But as for me I grew up in mostly white schools and neighborhoods as I've stated before. Went to a majority White high school but my parents were very proud to be black. I never dated a White girl. Even at my high school I dated black chicks that were there or black chicks I'd see at the mall or just out and about. Then going to an HBCU was like heaven for me as I was finally around TONS of young black kids like myself.

Now my brother he just naturally always had more of an attraction to other races of women more than me. In high school we all were like he may end up with a white chick because his girlfriends in high school were white but he to also went to an HBCU and since then dated nothing but black women. He said he just didn't have the chance in high school to meet a black girl he liked due to the numbers until college :yeshrug:. For me it was different but I guess for him he needed to be around more black women. He never was not attracted to black women though as he would often see some of the chicks I was with and make comments about how he wished our school had more black girls. But he's now married to a black woman he met in graduate school at PWI.

This is also an underlying issue with civil rights advocacy and respectability politics dating back to slavery. The affluent blacks with more access and opportunity (especially mulattos) tend to believe that if we are more respectable, somehow whites will wake up and become humane. This is what happened with the civil rights movement. They choose Rosa Parks (who was a church going, demure lady), as opposed to two black women who's names escape me, because one had an alcoholic father and another was a teenage mother. That's why they also tend to harp on about working hard and being studious while ignoring other factors like crippling schools, unemployment, crumbling housing. They do not understand what it's like to have to join a gang/set to protect yourself, to deal drugs so you don't become homeless, to witness most of your graduating class not make it to 25, to not have any access to anything not just the finer things in life.

Exactly. They think they're "safe" hanging with the Lilly vanilly friends... Until they get their nikka moment and all of a sudden they learn REAL quick (if they're smart) or they get on that c00n train and ride that shyt till the wheels fall off. They'll say goofy shyt like...
"I don't talk white I'm just educated"
:francis:
"I'm not black I'm american"
:stopitslime:
"Stop sagging your pants and police will respect you!"
:usure:
