Lightfoot was in a tough situation, cause if you have the police going crazy on Day 1 then you have to consider the backlash and blow black you have on your hands if somebody got hurt badly or killed by cops.

When I was out there, I saw people smashing shyt and throwing glass bottles and firecrackers at police... the cops were like


People were wildin' freely and that's why when neighborhoods started getting hit outside of downtown so many people with the shyts, cause they homies told em shyt was sweet.

OR START SHOOTING PPL
WHICH WOULD SPARK A CIVIL WAR
BECAUSE THEY ARE MASSIVELY OUTNUMBERED.

I guess Target had the right idea when t hey closed the two stores earlier this year, probably saved themselves millions. Walmart is going to get insurance checks and open up a new store in north brook somewhere, Black folks in Roseland finally got a nice new shopping strip 3 years ago and yesterday completely destroyed it, all the mom and pop stores been gone. I'm from 109th and eberhart, and with that Walmart and all the walgreens torn up there are no other pharmacies or grocery stores for MILES in any direction.

My grandmother is lucky cause I'm here and can drive to get whatever she needs

But a bunch of the older people in our community relied on that walgreens and are fukked

yup. people been fighting to not have a food desert for years, and that shyt is destroyed in the blink of an eye. it's terrible.

Also...those fukkers lifted those bridges downtown to direct the shyt to the rest of the city. We were sacrificed

WE DID NOT HAVE TO TEAR UP OUR OWN NEIGHBORHOOD, because they protected theirs.

No one made them do it, it was a choice.
