what if the guy holding the title isn't top level? :ld:

Well, then that's a bad booking decision... but ultimately the belt will always be the belt no matter who's holding it. It's up to them to decide who's the #1 guy, and every now and then, they've given it to people who weren't cut out to be in that role. But in most cases, the belt just signifies who's headlining. We can't complain that no one gets elevated, but then when someone who isn't a big name star gets boosted into the title picture, wonder why not Brock, or Cena, or whomever else we've been used to seeing with the belt...

i would have included cena as well but he just put over AJ so he's kinda cooled off a bit.

pretend you are a casual viewer, now have a look at this poster:

SummerSlam_2016.jpg

:ld:who might you assume is the champion?

:ld:even if it weren't the guy dead in the middle, would you guess that the champion could possibly be one of those guys in the corner that got bottom billing?

:ld:or that the guy who actually WON the big title that night didn't even make the poster?

you get the point.

what credibility does the title have if the guys competing for it are 5th to last on the card at all the big time ppvs?:patrice:

i know the main argument against brock being the champion is that he isn't there all that much, but wouldn't you rather have the championship be in the main event part time... than parade around in mid card full time? :ld:

let's not forget Brock's match with the Smackdown champ just a few months ago :mjlol:

Brock IS the WWE at this point

I think the belt should go to a full-timer, but the champ only fights on PPV's (no house shows). That way the champ is exposed to the public and has a constant presence of fukkery, he doesn't risk injury for the most part and if he does happen to get injured then you run an audible and pin him if he was meant to win. Having the champ fight random matches on random Raws/Smackdowns/house shows and having random title matches there should be a thing of the past.

Brock isn't there enough and the nature of his contract is such that everyone would know when he was leaving and therefore everyone would know when he's dropping the title

It used to be a thing a past until Rock and Austin revolutionized pro wrestling and were selling out arenas and tv shows every week.

Ain't nobody trying to see a champ four times a year though, that shyt fukks up house shows too. People want to see the champ at their house show.

Lesnar could've at least made an appearance from September to January but did he? No.
