They might want to develop Lavine right away. The kid has bounce but he's raw.

And with the Cavs it was either a package centered around Waiters or Wiggins. Giving up both is unreasonable considering that's 2 SGs and they would be thin depth wise at 2 positions. Wiggins is plenty to give up.

The Kevin Love trade makes the Cavs better than they are now. Period. I don't see any other premier big men becoming available.

They have more financial flexibility with that trio than they would would Love and outside of 3 pt shooting you are getting the same production with potential for even more. You don't max out on 3 players AND still have glaring needs with minimal money to address them. People get too caught up in names and offensive stats. To win championships you gotta have dudes that fit together and play defense.

I'd only be concerned if they can't flip that Haywood $10 million expiring for a long term solution center next summer.

They've got a good balance of youth and experience at every other position. Still have 2 first round picks next year and the team won't have to be broken up because ownership will pay the tax.
