Your kids will have a better life if you move to Canada
Worried your kids will have a bleak future if they live in America? Maybe it's time to leave.
HSBC's fifth annual Expat Survey identified Canada as the best place for expats to raise kids.
Canada was the cheapest place to raise a kid, and it ranked in the top four for safety, education, and childcare.
Kids in Canada play more sports than anywhere else, and rank near the top in time spent with parents, and lack of time in front of the TV.
A full 97 percent of expat parents in Canada said their kids were enjoying living there.
HSBC said, "Canada proved a popular choice among expat parents with one fifth (20 percent) of expat parents living in the country suggesting that of all of the expat locations, they would choose to relocate elsewhere within the country rather than choose a new location or move back to their home country."
Netherlands and Hong Kong were the next best places for kids.
But if you've got no kids and lots of money, the primo destination is Singapore.
I dont want a casino down here.
theres many pros and many cons......but I figure how else we gonna pay for something like this without getting killed with more taxes....
Imagine the women getting on and off at Roncesvales station
apparently they have shaken that off now and outgrown that nickname for a minute. i heard they got one of the best journalism and engineering programs in the whole of canada. (this is just based on word of mouth and some shyt i seen online, i am not canadian and never been there so )
it's not that serious to me tho, i'll get my bachelors at a decent uni and hopefully when i do masters i'll aim for the more "prestigious" schools or whatever.
Nobody understands me when I say this, but it is truly the best and most beautiful city in the Western World.
So clean.
So many green ravines/parks/trails/paths that are all connected by one beautiful valley system.
So safe (except for a few joints)
So much diversity, the most diverse city in the world.
So many great universities and colleges.
Great cultural events.
So many totally different looking neighborhoods.
It's just so marvelous , I can't see myself ever wanting to live anywhere else. This city is in my heart.
In terms of aesthetics I'd say Boston, Chicago, Montreal, New York (Manhattan) are better. Diversity, schools, architecture, food, transit system, etc.
Toronto is a nice city though. It just needs an identity.
