So brehs. im thinking about trading my a4 for a 335i or 135 and i would hate to leave the audi world.but i also work and mini/bmw as a sales. and just being around teh 335 all day has me like :noah:
@88m3 talk me out of this breh

The B8 S4 is at a really good price point right now get one with the lsd package. Buy one private sale with financing from a credit union.

The cost of 335's is going to drop with the new model coming out as well. It's important to keep that in mind.

I really can't get over how unreliable these things are.

If I buy one, it will be a 40k miles one...hopefully around $25kish. I feel like it will breakdown after warranty.

What does ya'll miles look like??

wait are they really that unreliable. if so ill just try to update to an s4
@88m3 i might have to check them out then i have a b7 a4 currently i just really want more power

You should talk to the guys that own them as far as reliability but it seems to be hit or miss. I know they extended the warranty for some items.

For me I have too many expenses right now to worry about having to fix a brand new car. Hell I shouldn't have to! I like the 335 but it's not a car I want to have children with.

I'd say a B8 S4. When I'm done with my A4 I'm trading it in for B8 S4 or a 2013 S5. If you don't need AWD the E90 M3's are in the mid 30's. The TTS or S3 are good options. It all depends on what you want to spend and need.

basically this is how i am feeling right now. s4 s5 or tts is what i would like

but the 335 is intriguing me. i love my AWD though:ahh: blowing by cats in the snow and i look at them in the mirror like :steviej:

B8 S4 is a dope car. I originally wanted one, but couldn't find one close that I liked. Got a 335 instead. :manny: You can't really go wrong with either car.

How many miles do you have on it, though?

Just under 60k.

Then buy an XI if AWD is important to you. The #1 reason imo to buy a 335i is the cars ability to reliably make a stupid amount of power cheaply.

As far as 335 reliability is concerned you need to stop listening to people who don't own the car and listen to what actual owners have to say. I researched this car for 6 months before I bought one and don't regret my purchase. e90post is a great source to read to hear what actual owner's have to say about the car.

I'm torn.

Im about to cop a new whip (used), and I'm stuck between the 335i (coupe or sedan...doesnt matter to me) and that G8 GT.

The G8 can be modded for 7k ish to run mid 11s down the 1/4.

I hear the 335i can be modded for less to reach that PLUS some.

The problem is reliability. The G8's drivetrain can handle 500hp from a supercharger set to 6-9 boost. The engine + tran will live for a while with that type of boost.

I hear that the 335i's are really shytty in terms of reliability. Maintenance isn't the problem. Neither is cost of maintenance. I just don't want to be in the shop every 3 months for something breaking. Whats are you guys experience with the 335i?
If you can find a G8 GXP, I'd probably get one of those over the 335. Seriously.

The ATS isnt touching the 335i in performance in anyway
That's review was so payola

Nah, the ATS has pretty much outhandled the F30 in every comparison test. n fact, even C350 did in this MT test.

BMW obviously didn't make the F30 as focused as past models and its catching up to them. Or the competition is.

BMW still has the advantage in drivetrain which will keep it at the top of the class but that's not really when they've hung their hats on since the E30. They were always better mainly because of superior chassis design and tuning. Not so much anymore.

I dunno breh it still looks like a winner from the numbers. It's the fastest car of the bunch (quarter mile time) plus has the best fuel economy. Skid pad on all of the cars is pretty unimpressive, so I consider that a wash. That steering must really suck.

Don't remember if I posted pics of my 335 on this site but I just Plasti-dipped my kidney grills last night, had to get rid of that chrome, came out fresh.

Next is the chrome window trim and maybe the emblem (or remove it completely)

I really need to stop being cheap and get an aero lip, it makes the coupe look much more aggressive. :noah:

I was lucky enough to find one around my area, just kinda stumbled upon it really. I don't know how common they are. I have the aero bumper and spoiler too (though I may swap it for a CSL or M3 trunk)
