Funny thing about the U Dont Know Remix......that was actually suppose to be the original. Might have read it in XXL year ago.....but the way it was told. It was an unfinished beat by Just Blaze which Jay wanted bad enough that he took it as it was before Just added all the extras that were in the remix. The way we heard it fully fleshed out on BP2, was the was the way it was always intended to sound.
Yup, Just has talked about it a few times. Jay-Z had MOP rap on the U Don't Know beat, and when Just heard that he decided to go back and flesh the track out how he always wanted it.

He also said Hovi Baby was the start of his epic "church drums" shyt. He made the sample the day Left Eye died, as radio stations were playing TLC songs and when he heard that on the radio, he started scouring every record store to find the single.

Nikka Jay straight like Indian hair :mjlol:

Its such a silly song that's grown on me due to the comedy factor :pachaha:

"Office hours 9-5, why don'tcha call me there? There's so many hoes in here." :dead:

Used to love this album when it came out :heh: but then I heard stillmatic and literally couldn’t play through the cd anymore. Lyrically Jay Z on point, but some of the songs are just like what the fukk is he even talking about. Nas had him in the studio recording with the:huhldup:face. nikka didn’t even know what he wanted to rap about. A indicator of things to come:scusthov:

It's a solid album. Way too long but trim the fat to a single 10-12 joint disc and you can make a 4/5 star album :manny:

There like 25 tracks on that record :gucci:

nikkas sayin trim it to 10-12 songs like that ain't half the record :mjlol:

Trim? That a whole ass cut G :laff::laff:nah we ain't callin an album no solid if we gotta remove half the album to make it listenable we not doin that :russ: that's a new release Blueprint 1.5:pachaha:

Album was trash and somehow aged even worse than trash :scusthov:

Album is nostalgic for me because my cousin use to put disc 1 on when everybody came over to hoop. I dont think I heard disc 2 until much later.

Watcher 2 is my favorite Jayz verse ever

On my trimmed down version I got it to 16 tracks and added Excuse Me Miss Again

Lotta lotta whining on this album...I like Blueprint 2 as a diss but I always said it sounds like he's pleading his case to a jury of peers....whereas Ether sounds like Nas scolding his son with a belt in his hand

Add What They Gonna Do to one of the Jay songs I like that I didn't realize was trash until I logged on the internet ( Ghetto Techno, Hollywood, Ha Remix)...But im also a fan of goofy ass Cartoon beats, especially when Timbaland, Pharell or Mannie Fresh does them

joint is like a 7/10 imo

I also forgot to mention that "Bonnie & Clyde" and "Excuse Me Miss" was completely opposite of the Jay that was releasing songs like "Big Pimpin", "Hey Papi", "Is That Your Chick" and "Who You Wit II" as singles. It was a little over a year and he was just saying "Get your independent ass out of here, question" on Missy's "One Minute Man remix", yet here he was with the lead singer of the group that made "Independent Woman" on his first single. Again, that was that damage control at work as it's like Jay putting "Excuse Me Miss" and "Bonnie & Clyde" out there to say "hey, ladies, I got love for ya'll too. Let me show you".

Well, at least BP2 has the distinction of being an albumnthat kind of jump started Beyonce's solo career ("Bonnie & Clyde" was her biggest look as a solo at the time) and it was Kanye's biggest look as a rapper at the time in "The Bounce".

I'm just saying there is 1 solid full album in there. As it stands as a double disc, it is subpar for sure. And this was before the streaming Era, so it wasn't even Jigga trying to juke the algorithm stats, he really thought he had 25 bangers ready to fly :russ:
