I remember downloading a leak of the album in Real Media format and having to convert each file to mp3 individually and burn to a CD. What a time that was

The album itself was a fukkin mess lol. The intro with Big, and then Watcher with Rakim and Dre, a bunch of Timbo and Neptunes beats that weren't that great. Overall it had its moments, but it was a bloated mess of a follow-up to a classic album

Album should've been called "Damage Control" because nearly every song was a response to claims Nas made in "Ether":

"A Dream" is basically a response to How much of Biggie's rhymes gon come out your fat lips

"Excuse Me Miss", "Bonnie & Clyde" and "2 Many Hoes", and "bytches & Sisters" are responses to "You Only Concerned with dissing women"

"Watcher 2" is a response to "Who's the best: Pac, Nas, and Big. Ain't no best" as Jay gets Rakim and Dre to claim the "holy trinity of rap"

"Blueprint 2" is a concession to loss claiming that Nas cheated to win.

I love how Jay was rapping on here but it was a lot of half nice half wack beats on there.

It's a hard listen going back to it production wise. I did really like that I did it my way with the sample but then when the beat changes for the verses it threw me off.
