However, I'm not going to take the academy serious until non slave movies start getting nominated and winning awards.

I'm supporting this 100% because Nate WROTE, DIRECTED AND PRODUCED THIS. As well got the funding himself. With that said showering another "Slave" movie with awards isn't going to change the problem. Love the trailer, "Strange Fruit" song was perfect.

I get what you mean. But fukk that negativity breh. Like you said this man Wrote, Directed, Produced this and it took him YEARS to get the funding. Just celebrate the fact this is seeing the light of day and a nationwide release.
