Damn you stupid. The bible mentioned it was tax season during the birth of Christ. Tax season for the Jews was not in December. And he wasn't born outside in a manger DURING Winter. And everything associated with Christmas was already done by Pagans. Yule logs burning during Yule-Tide, The Mistletoe; reefs on your doors, Christmas Ham, giving gifts, Krampus, Christmas Trees in the house etc
I think you're confused on what he said cause you're not countering his point with anything you typed.

And shyt like this is why people are losing faith in it

Like why even “move the dates” in the first place? And yeah, they say it’s to celebrate Jesus’s birth/life… but it’s still no where close to the date he was born (historically speaking).

Most people don’t have a problem with Jesus… it’s all the juelzing around it.
There isn't even evidence of jesus in the first place, its all made up nonsense, enjoy the free day nikka

Wait until y’all find out who Ishtar/Inanna is and why the resurrection of Christ is celebrated with bunnies, eggs and other fertility symbolism.

:sas2:

Or why Christianity uses a shortened 42 Laws of Maat.

Or why we say Amen at the end of prayers.

Or how many Egyptian gods were born to virgin mothers.

A serious historian has to consider that the entire "Bible" might be fiction.

Jesus in particular has no historical record (history is based on primary sources. Someone who was there at the time who writes about the event. Ideally, several people who were there write about it). The writings are in Greek.. which is on the other side of the continent from where the story takes place (for the slow ones in the back: you'd think the earliest writings would be in the local language) AND the earliest manuscripts are generations after the "fact".

Anyway: here's what we celebrate.

Winter solstice. The time of year when the days start getting longer. Short days and low temperatures make survival difficult for pre industrial people. Preserving and storing food is important because of winter. Come to think of it. If your area has no winter then this holiday is not a thing. But for lots of Eurasian people it was a huge thing.
