these studios know that the young writers are so thirsty to get a foot in the door, that they know they can lowball and give the folks who are behind the scenes shyt wages. and people will take those terrible opportunities because they know that there will ALWAYS be another person willing to take the job also making shyt wages.

this is kinda exemplified on movies like the devil wears prada. working for these glamorous companies/industry ain't always what they're cracked up to be.
