We get excuses for guys on steroids..for when bytches cheat on nyggas....for cell price increases....life goes on. Technically, the argument is with the writer of JLA vs Avengers if you want to be snarky about it and get to the bare truth of it all. Scarlet Witch ALONE defeats the JLA no matter what version it is and there is no superspeed blitz or prep time gimmicks that can stop someone that is that in total control of time, matter, and space.

It wasn't even the writers discretion, it was a concession made by Marvel to DC because it was a joint venture. DC didn't want their flagship character getting his ass handed to him by a C-list character of another company.

No, I'm not. Superman beats Thor more often than not because it is Thor's nature to slug it out rather than fight intelligently, and no character will ever defeat Superman in an inter-company crossover.

Martin Manhunter his the power set to beat (and a slew of other characters), but he is DC's designated jobber. His role is to put up a desent struggle against the villain of the month and fold so Superman can come in and get the job done. His role would be no different in this hypothetical fight.
