Dude isn't wrong about the hazards of giant trucks, but :mjlol: at "assault vehicle". That kind of ridiculous rhetoric is cringe as fukk.
You see?

"Killer Giants"

"Rolling Two Ton Death Machines"

They do that shyt on every post, whenever there's an accident ANYWHERE in NYC

They don't even want to call it an accident anymore...they call it "traffic violence" and have even cucked the NYPD into calling it that

These people cannot and will not be reasoned with and the minute you give them a small inch they will take the entire YARD

Kathy Park Price, a rich asian woman who married a CAC with money and power, lives in Park Slope and spend all of her time trying to get neighborhoods to close streets permanently and remove cars from neighborhoods.

She's been doing this in Fort Greene/Clinton Hill, Bed-Stuy, Flatbush....and she has ZERO connections to those neighborhoods, but has connections to Bill "FukkBoy" DeBlasio, Antonio Reynoso (mega shythead) and the rest of the wannabe fauxgressives that have been infecting this city for quite some time now, especially since the pandemic.

you have examples?
yea, look at telegraph ave/discussions about this. it's a main thoroughfare from downtown - north oakland. used to be two lanes in each direction, they decided to put protected bike lanes in, making it one lane in each direction, parking on the outside of the lane. they did this while there are, especially in north oakland, smaller parallel streets that would've made more sense to use as a bike route. they also added all these plastic cones/markers all over the place, and also let these outdoor dining parklets become permanent. now no one can see bikers and pedestrians, leaving you blind on right turns, this popular strip full of shops and restaurants - there are very few places to park, so people park in the middle turn lane, congestion is worse, if you're an emergency vehicle there's no place for people to pull over to let them by, and then of course the door dashers or individuals picking up their food who double park. this street is a shyt show all because they decided they should plan this street around bikes instead of sending the bikes down quieter streets (the way they do in DC). it's a prime example of jumping the gun for some ideal vision that doesn't take into account current reality

i might go try to take a pic/video for you this evening

I never understand this thinking. You all have given up on the government doing anything for anyone.
our government doesn't have to do anything for us because they have a LARGE segment of the population that don't want them to. i'll never understand how folks don't admit we won't get shyt from our government because voters don't hold them to anything and some actively hope they don't do anything that can help people who don't look like them. no one ever has an answer for how that changes...once it does, we can expect government to do things.

Seems you're in agreement with the whole public transportation no more vehicular expansion bit

I never said 'no more' anything, only advocated for new infrastructure and transportation options.

That’s because that portion of the population has been educated by the government to believe it’s useless.

I don't own a car. I use a car sharing service. been trying it for about a year, so far so good. Each car has a credit card for gas. I use public transit 90% of the time. I like it cause i rarely need a car and that way i don't have to worry about gas prices, high insurance costs, maintenance, etc. Sometimes depending on where im going I'll even use both in tandem. I think services like that as well as a good public transit system make the roads more free and it's win win for everyone.

I agree with you.

I'm a dyed in the wool car guy. I've owned a million cars, from hoopties, to nice ass cars like my Model S. But after visiting Japan, I honestly don't see the utility in cars anymore.

Being from LA, driving is all I've ever known. We have a HORRIBLE public transportation system, but like someone earlier in this thread said, that was by design. They have refused to put trains in places that should have had trains (like LA > Frisco or LA > Vegas).

After spending significant time in Japan though, I have fallen in love with the efficiency, precision (and frankly, the novelty) of riding everywhere on the trains. It was one of my favorite things about that country. I got everywhere precisely on time, and it felt GOOD not having to look for a parking space.

I still got my Passmo card lol. I'm going back to Japan in 3 days, and the fukking trains are one of the things I'm looking forward to :snoop: :russ:

Legitimately addicted.
When you spend time in a society that's done public transportation properly you really see how backwards shyt is in America

underrated part of your comment.

This country will always have seeds of distrust, due to instinctual tribalism. It's easy to point to Scandinavian or Asian countries as examples, when you don't realize they are 99.9% homogenous (thus more open to socialists principles).
Berlin is probably the most multicultural and diverse city in Germany with one of the best public transport systems in the world
