I've been hinting at it but I need the support brehs.
End of my year at work is supper stressful, little sleep and nutrition is hard to fit in.
So I was down right around 195-196 let's say two weeks ago. Got off track and went up to 200. Water, carbs etc. Not a big deal because of the timing relative to when I officially weigh in. Fast forward to Christmas day and I was 189 :mjcry:

I can see the gains falling off every day. I could be down to 185 by the time this is over brehs.

What should I do once this is over?

You are gonna get those gains right back once you start eating again. But if you overdo it you are fukked because your body is gonna be primed for fat storage

Just gotta go slow with your recovery. Right now to stop the bleeding you should have bags of trail mix with you at work so you can shovel in calories quickly

Tough to provide you any better advice than that without using the phrase 'counting calories'

I went through the same shyt in September but I survived and turned it into my best cut ever by forcing myself to drink dextrose shakes to fill out my food shortages

I'm torn, I don't want the weight back, just the muscle mass. I got fat boy abs now.

It's a bad spot because I'm not bulking so I'm never going to get them back :(

I doubt you lost much actual tissue

You probably mostly lost extra glycogen and fluid

That can return eating at maintenance levels

You are gonna be flat after an extended cut no matter what, this short term starvation is just accelerating the process

How many years did it take you to make these gains? You think that shyt can be erased in a couple weeks? It don't work like that. So much of this muscle building shyt is fake. Only thing you should really care about is actual muscle tissue that you have synthesized over time. Everything else is just smoke and mirrors.

Exactly

Muscles have a lot of water content... u can gain or lose like 2-3lb a day just from that..... long term calorie deficits will suck out that water with the glycogen

Looks bleak but I wouldnt worry. I dont know what your hydration game is like but I bet if you up that and maybe do a refeed you will look back to snuff. Dont worry about the scale my breh

Well the really intense part is over:

Looked at the scale and it ended up being about 6 pounds. I wasn't around a scale last Sunday.

It could have been worse but I was starving towards the end of the week and was getting cals in more.

Haven't lifted since 12/24. I'll start back on Sunday.

I'm just going to jump back into my regular routine and see what happens.

Yeah might have taken a few liberties and hit up a little too much sugar :manny:

It's still a net -4 so that's the new starting point. Couldn't lift yesterday but got in a legs today. Diet is back to what I typically eat so it will be interesting to see how my body responds.

Legs are cooked :sadcam:

Back to normal routine for Tuesday.

5x5 Front Squat for warm-up
Treadmill for 30 minutes at highest incline, slow pace but no holding of rails.

Lowest weight in a long time and totally unhappy

I told you

Now I just have to practice what I preach. Im dreading the next workout week :mjcry: Im so flat

I am surprised/sad you are not happy at your height/weight. I am about 20lbs heavier at the same height and not much stronger. I was hoping I'd be in fighting form around 190 and "hoe ready" at 180............ u got abs yet? :lupe:

That unhappy comment was being flat last week. My body is catching up so overall it's better.

190 is going to be pretty good
180 will be :noah:

I've got a decent outline more from the front squats than anything. They have made my abs pretty thick. Lower abs :scusthov:
