I agree with a lot here, except for a couple. I agree with @AnonymityX1000 on signing one, but not both of Manea/Severino. Because if you think about it, you mention the walks.. but that's basically the exact rotation that we've got this year, except for adding Burnes in place of Quintana. The latest is Burnes wanting 8 years tho.
Well damn... didn't think of a Crochet moveI would argue that manaea and sevi would perform much better next season in the same situation because they probably won't be so tired. Those two were gassed after being pushed so hard this season.
At least the hypothetical additions of Burnes and a healthy Senga should fix that. I also wonder if they attempt a Garrett crochet trade now that the season is over and his concerns about innings pitched should be over
Well damn... didn't think of a Crochet move
Crochet
Burnes
Senga
Peterson
Megill/Sproat/Butto??
Damn... I just can't see Stearns Jew ass giving up the prospects in order to land Crochet tho. But man that would be ideal.
I kind of agree. Gotta wait and see.Stearns was 1 when they won and he has a lot of money coming off the books. He's also young, cheap and under team control until 2027. It's the perfect time to cash in some chips
You're more than likely right.. but if there were ever a time to cash some in...Don't see us giving up major prospects in a deal. Uncle Steve has always been on the Dodgers' model, wanting to build up the farm system and then spending the big money in free agency.
Soto is the priority this winter but I feel love that's a given. And the Mets are prioritizing acquiring Vlad Jr over resigning Pete. Again take with a grain of salt
I'm depressed because the ride is over and in my 35 years as a Mets fan it's hands down the most fun I've ever had as a Mets fan. I don't have the usually depression because I know our shot is finished because close enough was good enough for the Wilpons and they would just run it back if not get worse. Steve got a taste of October baseball and he's going to want it every year.
Take this with a MASSIVE grain of salt. I was talking to another dad on my sons travel baseball team. He claims to have a friend that works in the vincity of Steve Cohen abs speaks to Steve regularly. I'm not got to say what he does because I don't want to blow up anyone's spot. But he was told, Soto is the priority this winter but I feel love that's a given. And the Mets are prioritizing acquiring Vlad Jr over resigning Pete. Again take with a grain of salt

- Sounds like if Pete is willing to take market value he can stay.
Right call, and I'm generally been in favor of bringing him back.
I've seen 8 years 200 and 7 175. I'm in favor of 25 million a year neighborhood. He's not worth much more than that
This is also an interesting quote. Sounds like the rumors of not getting outbid for Soto are true
