Shocked Special Teams Coordinator (Chris Horton) is still employed
I'm surprised Harbaugh is still employed. For Tucker to abruptly stop doing what he was doing in 2016. One or two things happen.

The Ravens got a legitimate complaint they couldn't ignore and Tucker was talked to directly from Harbaugh, Ozzie, DeCosta or a combination. OR, Tucker's wife got wind of it and told him to stop or she was gone. They got married in 2015.

I'm thinking one or both of these things happened which made him stop in 2016. People who do shyt like this don't just have a change of heart. They get exposed and if it threatens their livelihood or in home p*ssy, then they change.

I heard Tucker and his wife are swingers. But that's totally different.

My issue with Horton is with the overall Special Unit (not Just Tucker).

Post Senior Bowl Mock Draft 1/3

Pick #27 Shemar Stewart - Edge Texas A&M

Strengths

Rare blend of size and movement skills at 290 pounds - shows shocking lateral agility when working stunts and impressive closing burst to the quarterback

Devastating power at the point of attack when he plays with proper leverage, regularly walking back offensive tackles with a vicious bull rush

Versatile defensive weapon who can wreak havoc from multiple alignments - effective both as an edge setter and interior penetrator

Converts speed to power with impressive force, showing the ability to compress the pocket and collapse passing lanes with pure strength

Displays rare bend and flexibility for a man his size when cornering the edge - can drop his shoulder and flatten to the quarterback

Quick processor who adapts his approach mid-game, showing the mental capacity to build off prior reps and counter offensive line adjustments

Brings juice as a pursuit defender with outstanding effort and closing speed - runs like his hair's on fire chasing plays from the backside

Explosive first step off the ball creates immediate problems in the run game, consistently resetting the line of scrimmage with violent hand strikes and raw power

Weaknesses

Raw pass rush plan needs significant refinement - relies too heavily on pure athleticism rather than developing consistent counter moves

Hand usage remains a work in progress, often being late to engage which allows blockers to get into his frame and control the point of attack

Must improve ability to convert pressures into sacks - tends to get wild at the top of his rush leading to missed opportunities

Can get overaggressive playing the run, occasionally losing gap discipline when trying to make splash plays in the backfield

Production doesn't match the elite physical traits, managing just 4.5 sacks over three seasons despite significant playing time

Pick #59 Tre Harris - WR Ole Miss

Strengths

Masterful at the catch point - displays exceptional body control and timing to box out defenders and high-point throws like a power forward snagging rebounds

Natural hands-catcher who plucks the ball away from his frame with vice-grip mitts, rarely allowing it into his body even in traffic

Elite ball tracker on deep routes who feels defenders and adjusts his path without losing speed, making him deadly on go routes and posts

Physical monster in the red zone who understands how to use his frame to wall off defenders, giving his QB a massive catch radius

Shows savvy in his stems and breaks, particularly on in-breaking routes where he sets up defenders with subtle head-and-shoulder fakes

Excellent field awareness - consistently finds soft spots against zone coverage and works back to the ball when his QB is under pressure

Brings a dog mentality to the blocking game, showing consistent effort and physicality even when he's not the primary target

Clutch performer who elevates his game in big moments - see his 153-yard explosion against LSU and Peach Bowl heroics versus Penn State

Weaknesses

Acceleration off the line lacks explosiveness, sometimes struggling to beat press coverage cleanly against longer, physical corners

Route tree remains somewhat limited - relies heavily on vertical stems and could add more nuance to his intermediate breaks

Can round off his cuts at times, particularly on comeback routes where sharper breaks would create more separation

Play speed is not elite - builds to his top gear rather than showing instant burst to threaten corners vertically

Contact balance could improve - sometimes gets knocked off his path by physical coverage mid-route, disrupting timing with his QB

Post Senior Bowl Mock Draft 2/3

Pick #91 Emery Jones Jr. - OT LSU

Strengths

Exceptional flexibility and knee bend, allowing him to handle edge rushers with speed and bend.

Patient and deliberate, dictating the speed of the game with high football IQ.

Massive punch with strong, firm hands that deliver a real shock value in pass protection.

Excellent leverage and grip strength, consistently controlling defenders once engaged.

Strong initial punch and effective use of long arms in pass protection.

Fluid movement and natural balance, light on his feet considering his size.

Powerful anchor strength, thanks to core strength and flexibility, reminiscent of Tyler Smith.

Powerful run blocker who consistently wins at the point of attack with a good burst off the line.

Weaknesses

Heavy lower half can make him susceptible to elite speed rushers.

Occasionally stops feet after initial contact, allowing defenders to get the corner.

Can get too high in his sets, sacrificing power and coordination between upper and lower body.

Needs to clean up footwork in the run game and improve hand placement.

Inside-striker tendency opens up outside rush lanes, presenting a soft corner for edge rushers.

Pick #128 Zy Alexander - CB LSU

Strengths

Ball hawk with plus instincts in the secondary, consistently finds himself around the ball.

Scheme versatile corner capable of playing in press-man or off coverage, demonstrating fluid hip turn and backpedal in both man and zone looks.

Plus length for the position with a frame to add functional mass, giving him the potential to match up with bigger X receivers at the next level.

Reliable tackler who excels in run support, showing willingness to stick his nose in and make plays near the line of scrimmage.

Smooth mover in space with good change of direction skills, allowing him to mirror receivers' routes effectively in man coverage situations.

High football IQ evident in his quick adaptation from FCS to Power 5 competition, suggesting a steep learning curve for NFL concepts.

Competitive toughness shows up on tape, consistently battling through the whistle and playing with a chip on his shoulder.

Special teams upside due to his tackling prowess and experience playing in space, offering immediate value while developing cornerback skills.

Weaknesses

Medical red flags after season-ending injury at LSU, raising questions about long-term durability and ability to withstand the NFL grind.

Lacks elite top-end speed, potentially limiting his ability to recover if beaten off the line by burners at the next level.

Limited sample size against top-tier competition may lead to a steeper learning curve when facing NFL-caliber receivers week in and week out.

Zone awareness needs refinement, occasionally losing track of receivers in his area when reading quarterback's eyes.

Lean frame for his height could lead to struggles when jamming more physical receivers at the line or competing for 50/50 balls downfield.

Pick #136 Lathan Ransom - S Ohio St.

Strengths

Physically imposing safety with excellent length and strength, capable of playing at all three levels of the defense

Exceptional run defender, displaying quick trigger and closing speed when playing from deep or in the box

Demonstrates great vision and ability to navigate through traffic to reach ball carriers efficiently

Highly effective blitzer, showcasing good timing and toughness when rushing the quarterback

Patient in catch coverage, using hands effectively to reroute receivers and disrupt timing

Versatile defender with experience in various roles, including deep safety and box defender

Consistent tackler who runs his feet through contact, delivering impactful hits

Proven special teams contributor - had two blocked punts in 2022

Weaknesses

Can appear heavy-footed at times, lacking elite burst and change of direction ability

Struggles in coverage when isolated in space, showing tight hips and limited flexibility

Tendency to be overly handsy in downfield coverage, which may lead to penalties at the NFL level

Sometimes slow to locate the ball in the air, potentially limiting his playmaking ability in deep coverage

Straight-line defender who may have difficulty bending around blocks and making plays in the backfield

Post Senior Bowl Mock Draft 3/3

Pick #176 Ozzy Trapilo - OT Boston College

Strengths

Mammoth frame with plus length, creating a wide blocking radius and giving edge rushers fits

Stone wall in pass pro, showcasing advanced kick-slide technique and mirror ability

Heavy hands paired with vise-grip strength, locking onto defenders and controlling the point of attack

Positional versatility, having lined up at both tackle spots in college

Impressive anchor, able to absorb bull rushes and maintain pocket integrity

Processes stunts and blitzes quickly, rarely caught out of position

Nasty finisher who looks to bury defenders and play through the whistle

Iron man durability, consistently logging full game snap counts

Weaknesses

Waist bender who struggles to consistently play with leverage due to his height

Limited lateral agility and change of direction skills, potentially hampering zone blocking effectiveness

Run blocking technique lags behind pass pro skills, needs to improve hand placement and drive

Can lunge on initial punch, compromising balance and leading to whiffed blocks

Needs to refine hand placement in run game to maximize natural power and length

Pick #178 Seth McLaughlin - OG Ohio St.

Strengths

Exceptional football IQ, consistently identifies and communicates blitz pickups and stunts to offensive line

Quick processor from snap to engagement, seamlessly transitions in both run and pass blocking scenarios

Displays impressive short-area quickness, effectively reaches second level and executes pull blocks

Demonstrates strong recovery skills in pass protection, maintaining position against diverse rush angles

Exhibits a finisher's mentality, consistently fights to maintain leverage and seal defenders away from the play

Versatile scheme fit, excels in gap/power concepts while showing aptitude for zone blocking principles

Possesses the flexibility and agility to adjust hand placement mid-block, countering defender's moves

High-effort player who sustains blocks through the whistle and looks for work downfield

Weaknesses

Inconsistent snap location, particularly when faced with head-up rushers, leading to timing disruptions and occasional fumbles

Tendency to lunge into blocks, leaving him susceptible to swim moves and push-pull techniques

Initial hand placement often too high, allowing defenders to get into his chest and compromise his anchor

Struggles with pad level at times, reducing his leverage and power at the point of attack

Could improve core strength to better absorb bull rushes and maintain ground against powerful interior defenders

Pick #185 Jeffrey Bassa - LB Oregon

Strengths

Natural defensive quarterback who processes pre-snap alignments and communicates adjustments with veteran savvy

Former safety background translates to plus-coverage skills, showing quick trigger and burst jumping underneath routes

Twitched-up blitzer who consistently disrupts protection schemes, evidenced by elite pressure production from multiple gap alignments

Exhibits quick-twitch lateral movement and closing burst when working in space against outside zone concepts

Advanced route recognition from zone drops, maintaining leverage while reading quarterback's eyes through progression

Shows natural feel for timing and angles as a delayed blitzer, consistently pressing gaps to affect quarterback launch point

Stack-and-flow ability against zone runs allows him to maintain gap integrity while working to the football

Four-phase special teams value with gunner experience and kick coverage production

Weaknesses

Lacks ideal knock-back power at point of attack when taking on climbing offensive linemen

Frame needs continued development to anchor against power concepts targeting his gap

Shows some false steps against play action, creating occasional coverage voids behind second level

Contact balance through trash needs refinement, particularly when working through congested areas

Length limitations affect strike zone as a tackler, leading to some drag-down finishes

Pick #205 Justin Walley - CB Minnesota

Strengths

Displays quick-twitch athleticism and fluid hip movement, allowing for smooth transitions and effective mirroring of receivers in man coverage situations.

Possesses above-average straight-line speed, enabling him to stay in phase with vertical threats and recover when beaten initially.

Shows natural feel for zone coverage, demonstrating good route recognition and the ability to quickly close on underneath throws.

Boasts a stout frame for his size, allowing him to match up physically with larger receivers and hold his own in the run game.

Demonstrates consistent tackling technique and willingness to support the run, rarely shying away from contact in the box or on the perimeter.

Showcases opportunistic ball skills, with a knack for high-pointing passes and timing his jumps to disrupt at the catch point.

Displays scheme versatility, having played effectively in both man and zone coverages throughout his collegiate career at Minnesota.

Demonstrates natural instincts on the field, often anticipating routes and putting himself in position to make plays on the ball.

Weaknesses

Lacks ideal length for the boundary cornerback position, which may limit his ability to contest catches against taller NFL receivers in jump-ball situations.

Can be overzealous in run support, occasionally taking poor angles to the ball carrier or overrunning plays when coming downhill.

Needs refinement in press coverage technique, as he can get caught lunging or opening his hips too early, leaving him susceptible to quick releases.

May face challenges against elite NFL speed, as his timed speed suggests he could be stretched vertically by the league's faster wideouts.

Turnover production was inconsistent throughout his college career, indicating room for improvement in creating game-changing plays at the next level.

Pick #213 Ryan Fitzgerald - K Florida St.

Strengths

Exceptional leg strength demonstrated consistently on deep kicks, routinely splitting uprights from 50+ with room to spare - as evidenced by his perfect for-5 mark beyond 50 in 2024

Rock-solid mechanics from ground contact through follow-through, maintaining textbook form even in adverse weather conditions at venues like Notre Dame and Boston College

Thrives under pressure, illustrated by his game-winning 32-yarder with 55 seconds left in the 2022 Cheez-It Bowl victory over Oklahoma

Outstanding kickoff specialist who averaged 64.3 yards with an 81% touchback rate (34 of 42) in 2024, consistently pinning returns inside the five

Exceptional accuracy on PATs, demonstrated by perfect 58-for-58 performance in 2023 and maintained consistency throughout his career in high-pressure ACC games

Shows remarkable poise in hostile environments, maintaining composure and technique whether kicking in Death Valley or South Bend

Steady upward trajectory in field goal percentage, peaking at 100% (13-for-13) in 2024 after improving from 60% to 90.5% between 2022-23

Versatile skill set includes experience as a punter, offering emergency backup capabilities at the next level when roster spots are precious

Weaknesses

Early career consistency issues, particularly in 2020-22, raise questions about his ability to maintain his recent excellent performance under NFL pressure

Limited experience kicking in extreme weather conditions given his primary experience in ACC territory, particularly the Florida climate

Slightly slower operation time from snap to kick compared to NFL averages, though this improved significantly in his final season

Occasional tendency to push kicks right when attempting to maximize distance, though this flaw largely disappeared in 2024

Appreciate DeCosta having this interview. Got some good insight into what comes with the job of GM. Interesting to hear him say after being involved and around the game for so long as a scout and GM, 30+ years, that he's still learning the Xs and Os.

As far as the analytics portion. Anyone else got an opinion on them using Madden ratings in addition to other metrics to assess personnel since 2013? Might explain some of the weird FA signings. I'm shocked he admitted that.

We not doing this....now all of a sudden they're "average"

Game flow/Game script Matters

Based on the SB so far, the only outlooks we can take as Ravens fans
-The Eagles are really good. Our loss to the Eagles was us actually getting beat and not beating ourselves like we usually do.
-Our defensive line needs to be more disruptive while only rushing 4
