They know they messed up not getting a MLB in the draft. I wish the best to these young men and hope one of them can emerge as a dynamic, playmaking blitzer that can cover TEs and RBs in man or zone coverage. If I had to bet on one though, it'd be Ross because he has history with MacDonald. Wiley might surprise some people though.

I feel bad for Ar'Darius Washington. The Ravens have loaded up so much at safety, he probably won't make the team. Shame because he has playmaking ability. If he's cut, I hope he gets another real chance to become an NFL starter. Would love to see him in purple, but I just don't see where he could fit in to this secondary with the additions.

I just looked at the Packers draft and saw they got Enagbare DE/OLB in the 5th and Walker OT in the 7th. I had them going in the 3rd and 4th/5th respectively.

Ojabo was the only DE/OLB they drafted and Bowser is out too. Neither is expected to be ready when the season starts.

I hope they can get Houston back on a team friendly deal. Ferguson has been extremely inconsistent and I don't think going in with just him and Oweh is a good idea.

I heard that Bowser will be back by week 1

I’m not even mad they didn’t draft a receiver. They had too many holes that needed to be filled immediately. They needed a playmaker in the secondary. Got it. A center. Got it. A pass rusher. Got it. Insurance for Stanley. Got it. D line depth. Got it. TE depth. Got it. Only way they woulda got somebody to make an immediate impact woulda been in the first and second rounds and they had bigger needs

It’s obvious they are comfortable working with what they already have. Bateman had all the tools to be a legit number one. Duvernay and Proche never really had opportunities to rove themselves becuz Lamar was force feeding Brown and guys like Watkins were eating up snaps. Plus I’ve seen Duvernay be wide open mad times and Lamar not even look his way. I think those two and especially Proche will be fine

You're right about Ross! What a pick up. Really surprised he didn't get drafted, but Leo Chanel did and they basically have the same skill set.

Michigan linebacker Josh Ross is one of their vocal and emotional leaders. Ross has been voted as a captain in back-to-back seasons. He’s an experienced prospect with 49 games and 23 starts under his belt. He is a downhill aggressive tone-setter. Ross projects as a MIKE linebacker in a 3-4 defense, similar to Michigan’s. He can operate as a heat-seeking missile after he locates the football. Will deliver a nice blow to the ball-carrier. His game has an old-school feel to it. He punishes lead blockers in the run game to clog up running lanes. He’s an average spot dropper in zone coverage and anything extra should be avoided. Ross is a good blitz option between the A-gaps. His contribution on third downs maybe limited due to his lack of coverage abilities. He will shock and shed blockers to create penetration in the running game.
we always do a good job finding UDFA LBs so im sure one of these guys will stick and become a solid player

:beli:

Have almost a dozen picks and take no wideouts, brehs. :francis:
they still dont know how to evaluate receivers properly

the plan was to take one at 14,thats why the Hollywood deal didnt get announced til after we picked. They said the deal been done a month and half ago but we didnt want it public cause they didnt want anyone to know receiver was a need a 14

4 receivers ended up going right before our pick so they just too the safety

in the presser Decosta said alot of the receivers they had on their board went a round before he thought they would

just shows you other teams are valuing receiver more than us

had they took a receiver in round 2 instead of Ojabo this wouldve been a A+ draft

Come on shamay you supposed to give us There measurables too:russ::russ::russ:

Emeka Emezie
Strengths
  • Hands and ball skills are good but inconsistent. He would best fit in the NFL with a team that already has speed at wideout and is looking for an underneath possession receiver and strong blocker.
  • He is quicker than fast and lacks elite wheels to simply blow by defenders, but he has good football speed.
  • Possesses a solidly-built frame with excellent toughness and physicality to power through tackles and work well in traffic.
  • Has the size, length, and strength to defeat press jams. Can make the spectacular catch. A decent open-field runner with some agility and the ability to break tackles.
  • Very soft, natural hands to cleanly catch away from his frame. Concentration is excellent. Has the lateral agility and strength to get into and out of routes smoothly.
Weaknesses
  • Drops the occasional catchable pass in crucial situations. Long-legged receiver who may have troubles evading savvy NFL corners.
  • Does not always use his hands to secure deep throws, allowing the ball into his pads and chest.
  • Inconsistent high-pointing passes. Allows too many throws into his body when facing the quarterback.
  • Not a sudden or dynamic athlete and is more of a one-speed guy who lacks natural burst. Lacking the quick-twitch movement skills to quickly change directions and create consistent separation.
  • A straight-line athlete with only average speed, lacking the wheels to run away from anyone at the next level. Struggles separating in tight coverage.
Makai Polk
Strengths
  • Good quickness off the line. Has size and quickness to get off NFL press.
  • Good effort and technique as a blocker for his size. Can beat the press with elusiveness or physical contact. Runs crisp routes with sharp cuts.
  • Does a nice job locating and tracking deep passes and is a legitimate vertical threat. Willing to go up and attack the ball.
  • Has good body strength to squirm out of tackles with the coordination to maneuver his frame between defenders.
  • Does not have exceptional straight-line speed but takes advantage of open seams when his quarterback is on target.
  • Does not possess top breakaway speed, though he's rarely caught from behind.
  • A versatile weapon, proving to be effective inside in the slot and outside on the perimeter. Makes plays at all levels of the field.
  • He catches the ball with his large, soft hands and is tough. Deceptive jets and a smooth route runner.
Weaknesses
  • Not a burner or consistent vertical threat. Has a lanky frame and will be overmatched physically by most cornerbacks in the NFL. Needs to be more competitive in tight coverage.
  • Does not always use his hands to secure deep throws, allowing the ball into his pads and chest.
Devon Williams (reminds me of Boykin)
Strengths

    • Does not have exceptional straight-line speed but takes advantage of open seams when his quarterback is on target.
    • Has a knack for getting open and is a quarterback's best friend - passers just need to toss the ball in his area and he'll come down with it.
    • He catches the ball with his large, soft hands and is tough. Deceptive jets and a smooth route runner.
    • Has good body strength to squirm out of tackles with the coordination to maneuver his frame between defenders.
    • A versatile weapon, proving to be effective inside in the slot and outside on the perimeter. Makes plays at all levels of the field.
    • Does not possess top breakaway speed, though he's rarely caught from behind.
    • A savvy, natural pass-catcher with reliable hands and very good focus. Snatches the ball out of the air and shows the concentration to make acrobatic catches look easy.
Weaknesses

    • Does not always use his hands to secure deep throws, allowing the ball into his pads and chest.
    • Does not have elite speed to burn by defenders. Does not drop his hips to get in position while blocking and fails to take correct angles to his man.
    • Does not explode off the line of scrimmage and runs with long strides.
Trevon Clark
Couldn't find anything on him. He was a deep threat for Cal and he's 6'4" so he's freakish to be used as a deep threat with that size. Average almost 20 yards a catch. I'm gonna have to see what I can find on him.

Slade Bolden from Alabama is also coming.

Slade Bolden (reminds me of Wes Welker, Cole Beasley type). If he makes the team, he'll be used on crossing routes over the middle to keep the chains moving or convert 3rd downs. If he doesn't make the team, don't be surprised if he signs with the Bills, Pats or Bucs.
Strengths
  • Balanced, savvy route runner with top field awareness, setting up and selling routes beautifully.
  • A savvy, natural pass-catcher with reliable hands and very good focus. Snatches the ball out of the air and shows the concentration to make acrobatic catches look easy.
  • Often used on deep routes, getting separation down the sideline or over the middle on crossing routes by extending his arms rather than pure speed.
  • Has a knack for getting open and is a quarterback's best friend - passers just need to toss the ball in his area and he'll come down with it.
  • Does not have exceptional straight-line speed but takes advantage of open seams when his quarterback is on target.
  • Does a nice job locating and tracking deep passes and is a legitimate vertical threat. Willing to go up and attack the ball.
  • Has the strong hands any NFL wide receiver coach and quarterback would covet. Tracks the deep ball over either shoulder and brings in passes fluidly without breaking stride downfield.
  • Does not possess top breakaway speed, though he's rarely caught from behind.
Weaknesses
  • Has only average height and overall length. Lacks initial burst off the line of scrimmage and has more build-up speed than track wheels. Limited explosiveness and flexibility and will struggle to separate against pro defensive backs
  • Does not always use his hands to secure deep throws, allowing the ball into his pads and chest.
