This article says SD is $10 million over their budgeted payroll for 2020. They're only at $145 million right now. That's such bullshyt for a market like San Diego. They would draw 3 million fans easy if they put out a competitive team.

If Boston is really open to taking back that bum Wil Myers, SD should trade for Mookie AND Price.

New reports are that Meyers salary is the hold up right now about the trade

Also said no top 5 prospect in the system is included

So I'm gonna guess that to get the deal done, they are gonna have to eat the price contract

Should be a no-brainer for the Pads. :yeshrug:

Price is still a quality pitcher and he's only signed through 2022. He'll get that NL stimulus and probably lower his ERA a full run or so. San Diego needs starters too.

I agree breh, he can be the #3 in the rotation and I think he will put up good numbers

Owners just need to take that leap of faith on this team
