Yeah, I know...it wasn't the best argument I've ever made :heh:

But he didn't deserve the MVP because he won the "Triple Crown", he deserved the MVP because he was by far the best player in the game.

Want to guess who's been by far the best player in the game in 2012?

No one said he deserves the MVP solely because of a triple crown but that shyt should help your case. :upsetfavre:

So stupid how the Braves are like 6 games better than the next team in the wild card yet we have to go through a play in game to get in the playoffs.

If you're 6 games better then winning that play-in game should be a breeze.

That's what happens when you don't win your division. I've accepted that the Cards have put themselves in this position and it is what it is. :manny:

If you're making an argument that if he gets the TC he's the MVP....then that's pretty much the argument you're making

And believe me, there are people making it.

And again, of course it should help his case. He's an awesome player having an awesome year...but just not the MOST awesome.

You've watched baseball before, right?

No game in MLB is a "breeze"

The one-game thing is too short. Hell, 3 or 5 or 7 is really too short to determine who is actually better. That said, I'd much prefer the WC round to be 3 games....no days off.

There's a bunch of guys having terrific seasons, but no one's been better than Cabrera from start to finish. Even now, Miggy's tearing up September while Trout has noticeably cooled off.

I understand the argument for Trout and I think it's very close, but nobody's been as good as Cabrera day in and day out.

It's like you had your mind made up on August 1st that Trout was the MVP.

His .720 September OPS is really helping him right now. While Miggy has a 1.200 OPS for September.

Both teams are in a Pennant race, one player is shining the other isn't

Yadi picked off a runner today leaning too far off of first.

Shame if he finishes lower than 2nd in the MVP voting. His offense + defense > anyone else in the NL.

Hate to break it to you, but he's not finishing higher than 3rd. I think he'll end up 4th or 5th.

28 games in September aren't more valuable than the 120 in the 5 months prior.....Cabrera had a .839 in May. The Tigers went 13-19. Those games are literally EXACTLY as important as the games in September.

...and one player has been better than Cabrera from start-to-finish...although that start was delayed by Vernon Wells :heh:
