When she takes the flame, it's supposed to have the key to stopping ALIE. What exactly that is, I don't know . Probably a way to shut her down and disconnect the people from The City of Light.

Of course Bellamy flip flops(like every character on this show) and now he's slaughtering grounders he knows had nothing to do with the sky people getting killed at the mountain

And of course they had to get a black dude to be the face of the sky people becoming murderous thugs
