building a few pcs isnt in any way indication that you know what youre talking about
a monkey can build a pc.

again, if you want a plug-and-play system and are computer-stupid, thats one thing.
if you know how computers work and take care of your system, thats another. its that simple.

lol at 'no memory leaks'...you dont even know what it is do you :snoop: you want to do defrags on any file system that has fragmentation too...regardless

again, if you want 'stock' shyt that's one thing.

and the hardware is pretty much the SAME no matter how hard youre trying to convince otherwise. look up the components in a macbook or imac. look up similar components in a pc...same shyt, different toilet. same ix processors, same DDR3 ram, same video cards.
again, you dont know what youre talking about. and trying to sound like you do. stop it

So. Cal

.. I probably know more about computers than most people in this topic.. I have been dealing with windows pc's for the last 10 years, I work in IT, I have owned many PC's, shyt I have even built a few, I know what I'm talking about. I like mac because my shyt works with no problems, no viruses, no memory leaks, no defrags no system restarts after every program I install, and none of that stupid pre installed BS that comes with PC's. I paid a few hundred more for my mac and I get reliable hardware that was built to work with the OS, I dont have to pay over $100 for simple programs like office, my OS upgrades are only $20 and I dont have to upgrade my hardware just to install it. The money yall save on PC's upfront are used over time when you have to spend over $100 to have office, a good video and pic editing software, anti virus, by then you have paid the same amount you would pay for a iMAC or mac book.. The it last more argument comes up so much because just maybe there is some truth to it.

LOL breh there's about 20 other people on here who work in IT. Why you acting like you some god computer freak? :shaq2:

Ok there is no way I can validate my credentials.. But the hardware may be similar but apples software is designed to work with the hardware they use, windows pc's use any 3rd party software they can get.. For ex. Dell and hp use cheaper parts so they can sell their stuff for cheaper. Unless you want to spend the same amount of money your not getting a pc that performs like a Mac...

Oh yea I forgot everybody on here is 6" works in IT and fukks only model bytches... I'm just saying from my experience macs require less maintenance to work properly after a few Years.. This is based off the 4 or 5 pc's I've had and the thousands I have worked with...

while we're on the topic

its impossible to make a recovery disc on Windows XP
Most PCs that came with WinXP came with physical recovery disks. I think, however, there are ways to create hard drive images of WinXP machines and burn them to DVD-R for backup purposes.

P.S. if the TS listened to me and installed Windows 8, Windows 8's built in virus detector would have stopped whatever virus that erased that nikkas precious "porn" collection.
Windows Vista and 7 users can download Microsoft Security Essentials to protect their PCs from malwar/virii (or viruses?).

^^^Another one of these guys?

You think because you can pop in a stick of RAM or plug in a SATA hard drive that makes you computer literate? Or because you know how to use Pirate Bay and run a Keygen?

Does your PC come with Apache2 presintalled? Allowing you to run a full blown webserver. Providing an excellent develpment environment out the box. Can you compile JAVA or run a RUBY program on a stock Windows install? How about PERL? PYTHON? Is your PC capable of SVN out of the box? How's that Bash Shell on your PC? How about SSH? Is your PC running a highly modified version of UNIX with all of the underlying power that gives you?

Have fun Googling all of that you "literate computer guy." I'll tell you right now the answer is NO for all of the above on any Windows machine. But it's a Yes for all Mac's down to the lowly Mac Mini.

Computer literate? nikka please.

Stop with the Mac users are not PC literate shyt. It's a dumb argument. Especially when you consider that Apple only has about a 15% market share. Their percentage of dumb users are MUCH MUCH MUCH lower than those who are dumb in the 80% PC Windows market share.

:dead: It's funny cause you were serious. It's even funnier cause you're so worked up over it. It's a preference; drink some tea and relax before you give yourself an ulcer.

Sir (Or madame) you are entirely full of shyt. Your paragraph is so filled with contradictions its not even funny. First of all, if you built a "few" PCs, then where the fukk is the talk about bloatware? OEM Windows has no bloatware. If you want laptops without bloatware, Samsung, Lenovo, and Acer all make high quality Signature Edition Laptops that DO NOT come with any bloatware whatsoever.

And who the fukk told you Office was free on the mac? :heh: that shyt is still $140 whether you're on Mac or Pc. Thirdly, since when does a good video and pic editiing software come for free on the Mac?

Thirdly, Antivirus is now included free with all Windows 8 PCs (Windows defender). You can even download Windows defender free for your windows 7 PC as well. And you don't have to upgrade your hardware to install the new Windows 8, infact i installed windows 8 on a 5 year old Core 2 duo laptop in had in my house just to test it out and it ran perfectly fine. It seems you have alot of misconceptions about windows and are unnecessarily hating on it. Just say you enjoy overpaying for the right to use a Mac computer because it makes you feel special. Because all the reasons you gave as to why you "prefer" Macs are completely without merit.

Look, I get it you prefer windows because you are probably more familiar with it, or you found the right combination of os and pc.. But you can't tell my Mac was overpriced because I feel like I got what I was paying for... Now this bloat ware I speak on the pc I just built I few weeks ago came from the pure installed software on the video card, the motherboard and the processor, all of which starts up every time I login.. I have some anti virus shyt popping up, then the built in windows defender telling me about my lack of anti virus, some popup about my pc temps true, some game manager etc.. It's a bunch of shyt I could care less about, and fukk spending over $100 on that useless as windows 8, I've used that shyt and it seems like it was designed for a phone or tablet.. Also I never said anything about office for Mac, I was saying I can buy pages and keynote ,numbers for only $20 a piece and mail the outlook equivalent is FREE, compared to office which you can't buy separate and is expensive... As far as pic editing software, iPhoto, iDVD, iMovie is good enough to start and I didn't pay nothing for it....
Again I have used the best windows has to offer, I know how to maintain a windows pc, I know what anti virus is free, I'm saying I don't have to know any of that to enjoy my Mac, it does what I want it to with little maintinence... I'm waiting for you to tell me anything I said is not true.....

I haven't had this Asus for a year yet and the bytch acting up. I'm on the web and all of a sudden the screen freezes. Can't ctrl, alt, delete or nothing. So I cut it off manually cut it back on but now this peice of shyt won't boot past the logo. I try to boot in safe mode and my laptop goes :youngsabo:

try to do a recovery and all I get is a fukking black sreen with a pick cursor pointer looking at me like:dwillhuh:

:to: All of my school work, all of my pirated software, 300 movies and about 20 gigs of porn all potentially lost :snoop: and I JUST copped an external hard drive 2 days ago.. I'm about to get me a macbook fukk A PC, fukk WINDOWS, fukk BILL GATES, fukk ANSUS fukk ALL THEM bytchES :pacspit:
anybody that knows anything about PCs knows you have separate hard drives for your operating system and your actual files. you never keep anything important on your OS hard drive.

basically what happened to you wasn't the fault of the PC it was your fault for not properly managing your data. even on a Mac i wouldn't keep my important files on the OS hard drive.

more than likely all you gotta do is re-install Windows and as long as your hard drive is big enough its gonna dump all your old files in a folder called Windows Old.

i don't get viruses mainly because that's due to user error. if i do have memory leaks with 16GBs of RAM i never notice. my system defrags on its own and anyway all hard drives get fragmentation its not a Windows thing.

my computer is reliable. i built it in January and its blue screened once since then. my Upgrade to Windows 8 was $14 not $20. i upgrade mt hardware because its smart to keep up with the latest tech.

when you have a Mac you're like the red headed step child of the computer world. do yall even have Bioshock Infinite out yet? what about Tomb Raider?
