I've had 3 laptops. 1st was Dell which lasted a year before it crashed, 2nd was a Toshiba which did the same.

Got a Macbook and it's on its 3rd year. Has never done me wrong. Have a HDD and still no problems.

Biggest difference seems to be that it's much harder to get malware on a Mac.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks

I have a feeling something may happen to my 2nd HD in my PC. Everytime I turn the PC on, during the P.O.S.T. I get a SMART error but I've been ignoring it. It's not the OS drive so all i have on there is my steam games and files. :yeshrug:

I got a warranty on this hard drive too because I bought it refurbished for like 50 bucks or so from Microcenter just to be on the safe side.

Get another HDD......NOW!

I haven't had this Asus for a year yet and the bytch acting up. I'm on the web and all of a sudden the screen freezes. Can't ctrl, alt, delete or nothing. So I cut it off manually cut it back on but now this peice of shyt won't boot past the logo. I try to boot in safe mode and my laptop goes :youngsabo:

try to do a recovery and all I get is a fukking black sreen with a pick cursor pointer looking at me like:dwillhuh:

:to: All of my school work, all of my pirated software, 300 movies and about 20 gigs of porn all potentially lost :snoop: and I JUST copped an external hard drive 2 days ago.. I'm about to get me a macbook fukk A PC, fukk WINDOWS, fukk BILL GATES, fukk ANSUS fukk ALL THEM bytchES :pacspit:

Do it, you wont regret it.. You will never think about getting another PC again, or will you care about whatever new version of windows they come up with, because you would have realized how superior OSX is..

Laptops? :heh:

fukk a laptop breh. I've building building off my own PC for the past 5 years and not one problem. Mean while if u need an upgrade for your mac you better get that $1,000+ ready. If you're computer literate, then there's no reason to get a mac at all.

To each his own, I personally prefer laptops now because they are portable.. That makes a huge difference, I can be browsing the web and watching t.v. at the same time from my couch.. I recently built a gaming pc and its great, but I really wanted it to be a laptop, but do to how complicated and expensive it is to build a laptop I settled.. but back to the topic I'm am very computer savy (infact I work in IT)....but my point is fukk windows/pc..... That is all

Why the fukk would you have this stance? :mindblown: The touch screen literally takes not a single thing away from the laptop experience and only ADDS to it by giving you new options in interacting with your PC. To take this position means you're simply refusing to acknowledge technological advances until your company of choice chooses to employ them. When Apple inevitably transforms its currently PC line up into touch screen machines, lets see if you still maintain this illogical position.

It's not illogical. It's unnecessary. Contributes nothing to the laptop form factor.

Sorry :whoo:

^^^Another one of these guys?

You think because you can pop in a stick of RAM or plug in a SATA hard drive that makes you computer literate? Or because you know how to use Pirate Bay and run a Keygen?

:what:

Does your PC come with Apache2 presintalled? Allowing you to run a full blown webserver. Providing an excellent develpment environment out the box. Can you compile JAVA or run a RUBY program on a stock Windows install? How about PERL? PYTHON? Is your PC capable of SVN out of the box? How's that Bash Shell on your PC? How about SSH? Is your PC running a highly modified version of UNIX with all of the underlying power that gives you?

Have fun Googling all of that you "literate computer guy." I'll tell you right now the answer is NO for all of the above on any Windows machine. But it's a Yes for all Mac's down to the lowly Mac Mini.

Computer literate? nikka please.

Stop with the Mac users are not PC literate shyt. It's a dumb argument. Especially when you consider that Apple only has about a 15% market share. Their percentage of dumb users are MUCH MUCH MUCH lower than those who are dumb in the 80% PC Windows market share.

Facebook offices. All developers pretty much use Macbook Pro's hooked up to Dell monitors or iMacs to develop.

These are the literate computer users. Power users.

Not nikkas on The Coli running Call of Duty on it's highest settings with a patch they found using Google.
:heh: "Oh I know how to plug in a SATA cable." Wouldn't know a damn thing about a hard drive jumper setting. PC Gamers have created this "power user" illusion. If you're not doing something productive with your computer...NEWSFLASH: You're not a power user.

Doesn't Google use Macbook Pro's to present their Chrome and Android presentations? Yep. They do. And even their offices are 95% Macbook Pro's.

So your argument is that we should use Macs because Zukerberg and friends use it?

You sound like a silicon valley moron. I could equally show you page after page of other corporations, government entities, and other important groups of people using PC's. That is an extremely weak argument. Just say you use macs in order to fit in with whatever lame circle you're trying to be apart of. The Macs are so much better than PC's argument may have been valid during the days of Windows Vista and Windows 95, but is certainly no longer the case with Windows 8. But do you friend
